I'm only vaguely remembering that bridge. Was it an elevated platform between near the Kinder Karusel and Mach Tower area?
I used one of the maps from our History sub-forum and circled the old, gated path in red:
It would be nice to have that bridge back, especially during HOS where it feels the majority of the park is crowded in Oktoberfest.
I’m sure it been posted but can’t remember, but why was the bridge removed? Was it Mach Tower or some other demise.
It was long gone before MT was built. I think the main reason is what I mentioned earlier, that the bridge allowed guests to bypass profit centers so they got rid of it.
Edit: now that I think of it, having never been on that bridge, I wonder if there were also any ADA concerns that they didn't want to pay to remediate?

I have heard from credible sources that the bridge will begin a second renovation project starting almost right after Christmas Town and to expect a significant length closer that will go into the regular season.
The San Marco bridge?
Since it appears they just resurfaced it completely, the only other thing I can think of is redoing the supports?
i hope that we get a falcons fury type drop ride in place of mach tower especially with the new relationship with itntamin.
My source is saying basically full strip to frame with possibly even some frame replacement.
No they only did a small section last year this is the other 90% of the bridge. As far as I know the section done last year isn't being touched.
I don't have detailed enough final plans to know for sure what the final product will look like.
From what my sources are saying well into the first part of the summer season.
The ramp on the Oktoberfest side was done last year. The bridge itself wasn’t touched.
