RE: Night Beats (2012 to Present)

You know those stairs they put in the front are from the original cutout in the stage for what was supposed to be Roll Out The Barrel, before they suddenly switched it to Entwined, and covered the cutout up. That's interesting....

I hope that they didn't change any of the musical numbers.. Atleast not the first one. It's my favorite.

It's like Scott makes it a goal to eventually make literally every show of his bad.

I thought it was fine! :) The changes really aren't bad or good. Beatrix and the Shadows of the Night are very good, and I'm so glad that Gabe's back! I could tell that the instrumentalists weren't really playing though, like you guys mentioned before. :-(

The lifting tables were removed, but they were also used as platforms. That's the only thing I remember that was removed.

RE: Night Beats (2012 to Present)

I will miss the kick line dancing during Get Happy. They replaced it with Beatrix emerging from a coffin and dancers with feather fans. :-(

I agree, Bgwtheoldcountry!
I loved the addition of the fight between Beatrix and Ulrich, though. It added more depth to the story, and made more sense with the next scene when he serenades an audience member, thinking she's gone!

I really enjoyed the show. I think this talk about the story being cheesy is a little silly. The show was never had an ounce of seriousness to begin with. Just to put everyone's mind at rest, the only song I was cut was "The Jitterbug". I distinctly remember everyone, myself included, saying "The costumes in that scene are horrendous. It makes an otherwise great show look very bad."

Also, keep in mind that this is the first night. The cast is still getting used to the script, especially the extra lines that they added. Whether this was Scott's doing or whoever did it, I applaud them. Things should only get better from here.
