Very basic, I am not a roller coaster engineer. Just a thought. They can add whatever other elements, but I think it would be a cool low profile coaster. Plus going over and under Verbolten would be awesome. an Immelman loop over San Marco, or maybe even a bat wing like on DF, but goes under the bridge, bat wings over it and back under...SICK! just thought it would be cool, plus think of the shots of the coaster from the RRC. I call it "Escape from Entwined"!

That's gonna make people on the Rhine River Cruise $h!utz themselves!! But that ride could probably use a little thrill to liven it up down there. ;)

Doing that around the bridge would ruin the serentity of the San Marco Bridge. I am not a huge fan of coasters interacting with each other, like LNM, Aplen, and Griffon. I think FHP would be a great place for a new coaster, but it shouldn't ruin the park's serenity. A top hat coming out from the trees would be really cool, especially if that is the only part of the ride that you can see.

I was thinking something along these lines...

That looks like it is in the same area where DF use to be. If that is the case then the Kingsmill residents would riot against something like that. They threw a fit about Drachen Fire and they most certainly will do the same and more against a launch coaster with a top hat soaring over the tree line.

It is there. I didn't think about that. The only other place they could really put in a coaster without it being cramped is on that peninsula across from Festa. They could expand there and possibly build a couple coasters since that area is so big. That would kill two birds with one stones: a new country and a new coaster. :)

Hi. I have been lurking about for a while now, and this thread has finally motivated me to join and say something.

Every time I read this discussion, I think about the Rebel Yell at KD. I may be alone in this, but I think what Virginia is missing is a coaster that goes backwards. I always thought it was a fun and different experience, especially in the drops, and the Rebel Yell no longer has a backwards train. (Not that I am surprised, since it actually slipped down the track, once when I was riding it.)

Just a thought.

I too have been lurking and something that I noticed that hasn`t been mentioned yet is a new prototype model B&M. There are plenty of rumors around that they are developing a launched coaster and a 4D coaster.

BGW has always loved B&Ms and purchasing another wouldn`t be too surprising. The wait list for getting a B&M is rumored to be about 5 years and Griffon is about 6 years old. They could have waited a year or two to see how Griffon worked out and jumped onto the wait list for another B&M.

I really hope that they get a prototype B&M:D.

The launched coaster rumor is nothing new and B&M has said before that they don't do launched coasters. The 4D idea would be interesting though.

As cool as this would be, I think we should have learned our lessons with prototypes by now. Do we really need another ride to join the "Mach Tower Club?" :p

Take huge note with what I'm about to say. B&M is nothing like Intamin or Moser when it comes to prototypical models. They sign contracts with the park acknowledging that the ride will have issues, and continuously work with the park until the issues are 100% fixed. They regularly perform tests on those rides in terms of stress, wear, and reliability. The uptime for a B&M coaster is much more consistent than with Intamin and other manufacturers, and they're only really down when something catastrophic happens.

The biggest issue I have with this idea is that Six Flags and Merlin have been in a tug of war for the B&M firsts ever since they were created.

Don't expect to see a B&M 4D coaster anytime soon. 4D coasters in general have tons of moving parts and are more prone to breakdowns then launch coasters are. Not sure if they've gotten anymore reliable since X (which was a major headache from the start), but I can see a launch coaster (less moving parts, less prone to breakdowns) over a 4D coaster.

Honestly, I think it will be a woody! One similar to Outlaw Run just European themed. I don't think they will use a B&M winged coaster, for they already have something very similar, Griffon. I would love a launched coaster too, but Busch should get something they haven't done before! They already have a family launch coaster, and I don't think they need another for a while.

So, we are on vacation in Colorado right now, and today we visited an "amusement park" on top of a mountain. It is called "Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park". One of their coasters was an alpine coaster. It was long, fast, weved through trees and around hills. It was VERY fun! I got to thinking, "What is B.G. got an alpine coaster?" Here's a list of pros and cons of an alpine coaster:
Pros:
Can be fast.
Don't need to remove many trees.
Works with the hills and ravines of a park. (a.k.a. not a parking lot coaster.)
Doesn't need to be tall. (Good for Kingsmill.)
Not loud. (Also good for Kingsmill.)
Can be VERY long.
Can have good capacity.
People control the speed of the ride.
Cons:
People can control it.
Lots of instructions on how to work the ride.
Can have bad capacity issues.
No big hills.
Stays close to the ground. (For all you high roller coaster people.)

If you want to see the one I rode, go onto YouTube and search, "Alpine Coaster Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park." It really is fun, any comments? :)
