Fireworks/New Summer Event? 2014
So as Zachary mentioned in the Rumors thread a while back, Illuminights is dead and will not be returning. Well a quick look at the park's official website reveals that the event is no longer listed on their site which just about confirms Illuminights is finally dead and gone.
But recently, a Facebook poster asked the park on their Facebook page when is the fireworks event this year? The park responded with date, July 3 to August 10. This is a little too long just to be a Forth of July thing, which can only mean a new summer time event with fireworks.

These better be some Disney quality fireworks considering they had to cut off a entire event. Luckily, it's nice the park is doing something instead of just leaving the summer with nothing to look forward to.

Well honestly, it depends on what their doing exactly. There could be an entire event planned out and the fireworks are just one part of that. Think of it as Illuminights Version 2, or it could just be fireworks. However, I don't think the park is just going to do fireworks by themselves. For those who plan a vacation and visit Illuminights like once a year, it would just leave it looking like the park is terribly chopping up an old, dead event.
If anything, they might give it a new name and just leave it at fireworks maybe to at least seem new and exciting.

I would personally rather that they only did fireworks. The summer is supposed to be the regular season. I see no reason for a special event. But I have said that before.

I hope they do exactly what Matthew said but, with one more add on. Bistro 205 has been a vacant restaurant for many years. Take Bistro 205 and make it a fancy sit down based in France. Make it high quality food and have a little perk. For an example if you pay extra you could go to a special viewing area and a have deserts from that Country. This would be a very hard task for the park though it would just be a little bonus for eating there.
