I tryed getting into a showing of this yesterday, but it managed to fill up 15 minutes before showtime. And they closed it off right before we got there. They managed not to tell us that it was full for 5 minutes or so, so we just stood there wondering why they weren't letting us in, and by the time they did tell us, there was a line, all the way around Big Ben's plaza area, and all the way past the Emporium, to what seemed to be the Turnstiles.

My Mother said the understudy in that^ was amazing. I'm not surprised because she has a simply amazing voice. Is it bad that I wish she was permanent? It's about time she got a lead part in something, she deserves it so much.

If she was back in Fiends, I would definitely like it more. The recent simplicity's voices have been very underwhelming. Oh goodness, I miss Fiends 2012 even more now.

Yes the performer who played the 2012 Fiends Simplicity is the female swing for all three shows as well. She was in Fiends today.

Last Friday we tried to watch the 4 and 7:30 shows and missed it by minutes each time (plus I think it was full so they closed the doors early).  We finally were able to catch the 9pm show and overall we really enjoyed it.

Sitting next to us in the theater was a family with a 2-3 year old child (I don't know how to age children).  Normally I don't care that much about kids being at Howloscream since I know it really depends on the child (despite having an irrational fear of aliens, I used to love scary things when I was little and even went to the first year of HOS when I was about 9 or 10) but this kid was laying across her chair, kicking me the entire preshow so I already was feeling hatred for this mother who brought her special snowflake to a 9pm showing of Monster Stomp. When the first murder occurred on stage, I looked over with delight to see the mother look horrified as the little girl was entranced by the stage.  By the second or third murder, I overheard the little girl ask her mother "if the people were really dead" and the mother tried to quietly explain that they were alright.

The only part I didn't really like was the Monster/Bring me to Life section.  Just like everyone else, I thought the rapping was terrible.  The main female singer was a bit shrill in this section which is a shame because her voice is quite decent everywhere else.

People WERE SO EXCITED when the skeletons came on the stage.  That was a serious fan favorite that they were smart to bring back. The obnoxious child next to me loved the skeletons, not sure if it erased all previous memory of glamours murder though.  She may still be emotionally scarred.

The muscle drummers were good, though I felt bad for the two scrawny guys who had to be bare chested next to the two brawny dudes. I know people have different opinions on how sexy HOS should be but I enjoy the additions.

The Shadows throw the audience a bone...when they broke one during a performance.

Is there a schedule for which performances have the swing actors?

Even if the swing knows what performer their replacing that may change at any time. The swing is there to give breaks and days off. I remember the lead male swing was supposed to play the part of the vampire but instead played the part of the monster the other night.
