Keep in mind that infants -- as in, actual handheld babies -- don't often pay attention to stuff like this. I could see a couple of parents taking their sleeping baby to watch a grown-up show. The baby doesn't get it and won't remember it; if they're awake, all they get is music. Now CRYING babies, that's a whole different thing...but stroller parking is not necessarily 100% incompatible.

It's kind of like putting plastic cups out next to a cooler labeled "POISON - DO NOT DRINK!" It's just begging for stupidity to lead to disaster.

I dropped in on a rehearsal today.(I listened through a door) It sounds like Monster Stomp Revamped, just with different music.

I didn't say it was, it's just the actual "stomping" sounded like what it was in MSR. It definitely did not sound dark.

Wow I'm kinda of surprised to hear that so many folks don't like the effects during shows. I guess I'm in the minority but I actually like the effects if done properly. I used to love the effects for the Haunted Lighthouse. Pirates was pretty good also. I know those two were actual 4D presentations and not a show but I think they could work with a show if as I said it was done properly. As for the 5 buck upcharge for the show I wonder where those seats will be and if it will be worth it.

see just another example of how Busch Gardens is in decline and KD is in ascendance.

Boy, talking about seeing KD through rose colored glasses! [ummm . . . make that blood colored glasses].

Course, the show productions themselves are a matter of personal taste. But, with at least 3 major Halloween shows at BGW with 12-16 singer/dancers and live bands to accompany the performers; plus, over the top costumes, lighting, and sets; I think BGW has a slight lead in entertainment. Their entertainment budget is at least 4 times what KD gets for shows each season. (And that is with KD being my home park and being a season pass holder.)

The reserved seats are near the back. They are made up of the row that is also half wheelchair seating. Those seats are wirht it if you want to get a full view of the stage and want to ensure your seat.

I didn't really describe anything. The stomping, you know, where they hit the sticks and strike them on the stage, is the exact same rhythm from MSR, from what I could tell.

Showtimes are out.
Monster Stomp on Ripper Row

1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 4:30 PM, 6:00 PM, 7:30 PM, 9:00 PM
I'm surprised there the same everyday.

Those are the same as the reserved seating times. However, as a warning the shows times can change and probably will. The showtimes for London Rocks changed near three times for the final day. The reserved seating times originally said 12:30, 2:30, 6:00, and 8:00. They were then changed to 12:30, 2:30, 6:30, and 8:30. Then they decided to really change them and go with 11, 12:30, 2:30, 3:30, 5:30.

I expect to see changes throughout the weeks.

There are projections, what might be a hole in the stage, and if they don't change, the first few songs should be:
The Rhythm is Gonna Get You - Gloria Estevan & The Miami Sound Machine
The Rhythm of Life - Sweet Charity
The Monster/Bring Me to Life - Eminem/Rihanna/Evanescence
Shake Your Groove Thing

Certainly not the classic rock from shows of old.

The song I heard yesterday did sound more Monster Stomp to me, but I have absolutely no idea what it was.

To be fair, a lot of the songs from MSR weren't the same as the original MS as well. So I'm taking it with a grain of salt as to how the show goes.

There are at least 2 threads for this discussion, but I will say this and leave it.

My post was a shallow attempt at sarcasm. In the past on this Forum there has been a great deal of BG v KD and KD is getting better while BG is getting worse message traffic. I was poking fun at that. Nothing more.

I am a platinum pass holder for both parks (for whatever that means any more) and I love both parks and for different reasons.

Do I see problems? You bet I do and I will not shy away from them. BG has a real management problem and ent seems to have gotten way to powerful particularly given their lackluster results lately. KD for its part still has an environmental problem. While they have made great strides in the past few years, they still have way too much asphalt, the theming is all jacked up, and it still seems a bit scummy at times. Both parks seem to be suffering form staffing problems, but it seems more noticeable at KD to me.

But they both also have their charms. BG is still, despite all, my wooded wonderland full of animals and rides. KD still manages to thrill me with their coasters.
