All of this, combined with park management's decision to do away with the 50% discount on CT tickets for pass members this year and replace it with a $10 discount, should make for an interesting Q&A session at the pass member event next Saturday.
At this rate, it would be very brave of them to even have a Q&A...

I was thinking the exact same thing. I am really wondering how the pass member announcement event will play out or if any of "us" would even be allowed in.

If I were in the upper management, I would be terrified to step foot on the stage in front of people I knew were not happy. Even if 70% are just people wanting a free Ipad, you know there will be many friends of the entertainers, extreme park fans, families of entertainers, etc. I would guess that the remaining 30% will be "informed."

I am curious to see who actually steps on stage to handle the presentations. Will Scott address the crowd or will it be someone else for example?

Also, I wonder if since my face is known if I will somehow be refrained from entering the announcement under some made up technicality.

We shall see. For the record, I do not plan on going there to express my anger - I am genuinely curious at what they have to say. I may be insane to think that these announcements could restore my faith in the park's future... but I have to know for sure what will be said.

I pray it will be good news. Please let it offer some hope that something good will happen in the months ahead. My expectations are very low- so maybe my chances of being pleasantly surprised are greater.

Mix it up may be gone but I was at the park for a couple of hours ths morning and did notice that the stage is all set for Dig It Up now looks like the show will go on starting Sept. 13.......

I wonder the same thing. However, lately they've been getting Phil Raybourn to do the "dirty work". Even though Phil had nothing to do with Illuminights, Scott did not show his face in any interviews this year. I hope this is a good sign of things to come

There seems to be a new FB page that has spring up this evening... https://m.facebook.com/BuschGardens?v=timeline&filter=2&ref=stream&__user=1030634830&soft=side-area#!/FireScottGasparich?refid=17

k8meeder: Thanks so much for saving me from having to type something very similar to what you said earlier. You spoke for me, too (and you also made your post much shorter than my typical 'novel', lol).

Ok, someone mentioned Jim A. Who is it, and how do I contact him to let him know my feelings about what has happened to the park in the last year/years? I'm good at writing feedback letters (although I often struggle to keep them short and concise). I've actually written letters to Busch after every year I've ever been to the park, listing what I liked, and what I thought needed either fixed or removed. In years past, I actually used to get phone calls from Busch management in return, talking to me about the feedback I had sent in. That really doesn't happen anymore for me. Not even a typed reply.

I haven't been able to visit the park in a couple/few years now, but what I have been reading...and the videos I've endured...have left me very alarmed and saddened. Ticked off. Disappointed. Outraged. You get the idea.

It's much worse not being able to see/hear this stuff myself. I feel more and more like an outsider looking in, at this point. And I utterly despise what I'm seeing. But I'll be darned if I'm going to let a place that I used to call 'home' for so many years be ruined by anyone, without a fight!

Thanks alot everyone for your diligence in updating the rest of us. It's my sincere hope that this trainwreck can be turned around. Someday I will make it back to the park. Until then, I still feel a duty to do whatever I can to make sure that when I AM able to re-visit the park again...it won't be someplace that has become so foreign and 'corrupted' that I feel like a stranger in a strange place. And not a good kind of 'strange', either.

This is not the way to go about getting people out of the wrong jobs. Writing intense feedback and asking hard boiled questions straight to their face is obviously a much better way to get them out of their job. With that said, Scot does have his fair share of issues, but he does do some things right, not a lot but some.

Also the name is Jim Atchison, CEO of Sea World Parks & Entertainment. From what I understand corporate is very caring to feedback from whoever.

Can you give us an email address to send our concerns to? Cause I have yet to find one.

No, I dont want a social media contact.
No, I dont want to call a 1-800 number.
No, I dont want to write a letter.

It's 2013, can I please just send someone a freaking email?

BTW, if anyone from SEAS corporate see this... Gmail is free, and extremely easy to sign up for.

It's either first.last@seaworld.com or first.last@seaworldparks.con

I sent an email to jim.atchison@seaworld.com and I did not receive an email saying the address was not existent, so it exists; however, I have yet to receive any response in general.

Seems to me that the Chief Operating Officer (Donnie Mills) and Chief Creative Officer (Scott Helmstedter) should receive letters as well. Not sure how effective emails will be, but actual letters sent through the mail usually get noticed. Mr. Mills has a personal history of leadership at BGW when it was still owned by Busch Entertainment (2002-2007). I would hope as COO of the Busch parks, he would be keenly interested in the concerns being expressed here. We can only hope.

Hey folks, it's not all bad news. Right now, there is a HUGE photo op in the San Marco Theater! Entertainment went all out with it. Hope y'all enjoy it.

Yes it's coming the Passholder event, voice you Q&A because you are the consumer for the BGW product and feedback is needed, also a lot is being "covered up" that guests and pass holders are not being included in on. Also I don't have bad bone with anyone but its also known that other dept. team members are voicing what said person of entertainment, had said to them. It's just a shame MIU had to end how it did the performers put in their heart n soul to make guest, coworkers, and friends and family have a great BG EXPERIENCE, but sucks when someone downgrades them about who they are. Not fair for us, guests, fans pass holders, and others to have to wonder why a park so loved, is pushing people away and left in the dark just like the MIU show in the dark. I praise the performers for FINALLY STANDING UP. I even congratulate them for already having new prospects and ventures. I guess MIU CANCELLED actually helped in my opinion. So lets see what's next as they say " as one door closes another door opens. So importantly thank you MIU performers for your performances and actions.
