All of this, combined with park management's decision to do away with the 50% discount on CT tickets for pass members this year and replace it with a $10 discount, should make for an interesting Q&A session at the pass member event next Saturday.

Say what?!?! :shocked:
Not to doubt you or anything, but is that published somewhere?

EDIT:

NVMD...

I'm with kate/k8 about being very curious about the GP's response to the show shuffle this weekend. I don't think they are going to be as knowledgeable as the diehards about the crossovers casts/performances, of course, and I really am very interested to know if there will be a lot of unhappiness about the overall lack of shows. I honestly don't have a prediction. I do know that plenty of people go to theme parks as much or more for the shows than the rides, but whether those folks are enough to cause a big stir, I don't know. Especially since I would guess the park will spin a lot of the missing shows as HOS prep, just as they did with EIA. And even though I'm sure many questioned the EIA "closed to get ready for HOS" back in July -- still most people were willing to think there might be a kernel of truth to it. Or they questioned their own common sense about it, not thinking it would be such a blatant untruth.

So I really can't predict. Be nice if it is a survey weekend at the park, so they would give people the added platform to comment.

Does anyone have actual data on the percentage of park visitors who:
1. Only go for the shows;
2. Enjoy a show as part of the experience;
3. Don't go to the shows at all?

I think that might shed some light on the potential impact.

I'll wait for official confirmation from ChickenKing before I update the main site post but it sounds as though the Italian Ensemble will not be performing for at least the next two days. The theater is expected to sit dark this weekend.

If all the members of this site were to write to the local media with their concerns, then I would hope it would effect a change in leadership in the Entertainment Department. I plan to do just that and urge those who really care to also do so. Has anyone taken the survey that the park uses to rate shows? If so, how is it worded?

Can confirm that San Marco Theater will be dark until HOS. Though the rather large dinosaur is here now. Italian Ensemble is no more.

Killarney Village Band will be performing in Ireland at 4 and 5 pm. "Probably" tomorrow and Monday. "Supposedly" pass holder weekend.

This is straight from the Technical Director of Entertainment.

More later. Stay tuned...
