RE: Minor Changes

The sponsorship is over, they probably just haven't gotten around to removing those tiny signs. If they wanted to renew the sponsorship they would've done it before it expired. You would think the World's Most Beautiful theme park wouldn't have to have a lawn care sponsorship, because you want to think they do everything on their own.

RE: Minor Changes

Matthew, when the park first opened and it continued well throughout the years up into the early 2000's, the park had a contractor who did all of their landscaping. That is the reason why they won the award. Now that they have already won it, just like others have said, it is probably a given award. They have moved to doing things in-house; however, the people they seem to hire as the low-level team members in that department just do not care enough to actually do the best job.

I think they are doing relatively fine so far, but as people have said, the decline in beauty is there. I honestly think that they would have a lawn care sponsor especially with the heavy push for more emphasis on "Gardens", having their own lawn car sponsor or having their own line of lawn car equipment would be like Paula Deen having a line of kitchen tools.

RE: Minor Changes

Their sponsorship is still on the bad oy mowers website: http://www.badboymowers.com/learn/bad-boy-friends

RE: Minor Changes

It's weird, it says they sponsor both SeaWorld and Busch Gardens, which would make you think it is a company signed sponsorship. But the in park advertising at BGW had already been over for a week, then I went to BGT, and SWO, and they still have all the in park advertisements up. I'm guessing the different parks must have separate contracts, which is a little weird. Maybe they are still using the lawn mowers for all their lawn care, and they got rid of the in park advertising.(?)

RE: Minor Changes

Or maybe they no longer have to full fill the lawn mower display obligation anymore, yet still sponsored? Since the small Bad Boys sponsor signs are still in the park and posted on the park map.

RE: Minor Changes

BGT has a lot more of them too, I think I can remember 3 full blown lawn mower displays, at least.

Could they simply be replacing the mowers?

They've been gone for a couple weeks now, if they were doing that it would've most likely been done by now, or it should've. Plus the big sign is gone that was in front of the display.

RE: Minor Changes

It's funny, I for one would never invest in a lawn mower because I saw it displayed at a theme park. ;)

RE: Minor Changes

It's more about buying a lawn mower because you saw it at the worlds most beautiful park. The assumption is that mower makes the park the most beautiful and you want your lawn to be the most beautiful.

RE: Minor Changes

That would take one completely naive park goer. The best mower in the world would not make a front yard full of moss beautiful. I'm not convinced that there are very many people who think like this. The idea of a particular tool that makes YOU better at keeping up with yard work would be a more sell-able method.

RE: Minor Changes

I've seen this tactic used before...

RE: Minor Changes

Oh good, I can only imagine the 0's, and 0's of people that are now going to buy a Bad Boy Lawn Mower, because it was on display at a theme park.
