RE: Minor Changes

PR and BGW Family beat me to the DW merchandise.

The arcades have been updated and I like the new Android-based games.  In this shot we see Flying Tickets (Flappy Bird) and Doodle Jump.  To the right of Doodle Jump is Fishbowl Frenzy (also played for tickets) that combines real life (drop a ping pong ball) Pachinko style with a transparent videogame overlay.  It's a very neat effect.  You can read more about Fishbowl Frenzy and the new generation of games here.

Note, this update is almost two weeks late as the photos were taken 4/12. I would say life got in the way but I'd rather say, #LivingLikeZachary

What I assume to be a static figure of Clancy is in the window for Kids Shamrock.

While this isn't a change a local artist was visiting.

A sign was put up for all guest confused as to where ice cream in France is located.

Ever wondered what Ice Palace looked like without hundreds of people? I looked around the corner and I didn't see any Cataomb props...

This bike was added by Josephine's.

Our froggy friend recived some repairs on his eyes.

The smoking area near the Busch fountain was moved. (Love walking into Germany and not smelling the toxic smell of smoke)

Apollo's Chariot recived its own set of t-shirts.

The Festa Italia sign has disappeared.

Some of the props surrounding Escape from Pompeii have been moved next to the queue.

RE: Minor Changes

Why did they change the doors? They could have done something besides solid wood to keep the character of the globe. Another small detail erased from Banbury's charm. How hard and expensive could it be to have done this right? Maybe the original slatted doors clashed with the Union Jack flags or crap LR signage, so they decide plywood painted red was a better match.

RE: Minor Changes

It's true, the old doors desperately needed replacing. The thing that really bothers me about them is that they don't have handles, even just an ornamental one would be nice, rather than nothing at all. I appreciate they kept the same hinge design, however.

It could have been done better yes but i am glad to see they are trying to maintain the park. They could have let it completely fall apart. I guess im trying to see the positive in it.
