We got those a few weeks ago here in Tampa. I don't know if they are any faster than the old ones, but I agree, they seem a little more idiot proof. (Although getting people to understand which hand is the right hand and which finger is the index finger is still a huge challenge from what I've seen).

I don't understand what the point of scanning fingerprints is....Can't they just scan our tickets kind of like they do w/subways? (The transportation kind, not the sammich kind)

It's biometric scanning - the idea behind it is to prevent fraud, i.e. giving your fun card, season pass, etc to someone else to get them in for free.

They should just have a picture system like KD. Sure it takes an uber long time to get the photo taken, but it works.

I haven't seen anyone mention the upper waterfalls on the Italy stage were going this past weekend. Haven't seen all the water working there for quite a while. VERY nice to see again. They also replaced the statues with flower vases.

On our way out this evening, we stopped in Union Jax, a little tradition for us now, and noticed that the two smaller claw machines were replaced with one big one. The new one is a full-sized English phone booth; similar to the booths just outside the store. The Angry Birds are gone (I think PR may have mentioned they are losing popularity somewhere), and instead it had Super Mario, Luigi and Yoshi plushies.

No problem we noticed yesterday. Doors were closed and all the pictures were gone from the walls outside. The park is really starting to look off with so much closed.

What time did you go by there? It was opened at 5pm. We were in the sitting area across from it having dinner and it was open. I remember watching a gentleman in a motorized wheelchair trying to turn it around at the top of the ramp. He kept getting stuck.

Hmm maybe it opened late, it was around one thirty or two yesterday. I didn't see a sign about opening later, glad it's not closed though.
