I was wondering if that was true, I thought I saw it while I was looking at my pass rewards while I was at SeaWorld but couldn't remember.

Don’t forget that they were given $10 in busch bucks as well as quick queues for Pantheon just like the membership holders......

Playing devil’s advocate here, but I feel it was handed out to Fun Card holders as a way to entice them into purchasing either another Fun Card for the following season, or a Membership. Annual passes kind of fall into that gray area between Memberships and Fun Cards so they probably just said “What the hell” and threw it in for those as well.

Not sure your point....but I was merely pointing out that there were more “perks” that were specifically promoted as “pass holders” getting the same as memberships.

I'm gonna have to call bluff on this.

As a Platinum legacy pass holder, I waited in the line at guest services only to have them pull up my pass and tell me that the promotion isn't valid for the pass. So while the post does claim that pass holders were included, it was merely a miscommunication in the wording of the post by the parks marketing department as several other people were told this doesn't apply to legacy pass holders.

You got screwed....we were with a large group that had a handful of legacy annual pass holders one of the first weekends of HOS. We all used our Busch Bucks at the bar infront of the Festhaus on beers in souvenir cups. We found out later alcohol was suppose to be excluded from the bucks.

I think you may have been told wrong... I know for a fact that at least a handful of legacy APs were given the Busch Bucks.
Me and the same group of people I was referring to earlier also got the bg bucks on a hos preview night and as stated earlier we are all legacy. We also got quick queues for pantheon

Honestly, if they just did it the way SeaWorld Orlando did, in which all legacy pass holders became silver in terms of perks(minus the 1 free ticket I believe), so much of the trouble here and divide might have gone away.

As a member, I'm totally fine with the very, very minor inconvenience of having maybe 100 people extra in the park. Saying it almost feels like a "breach of contract" is funny though.
It's not so much the inconvenience of those few extra people but that the park actively sold to many of us that did upgrade that if we didn't we would be excluded from these events. While did not upgrade solely based on that it was a part of the reason that I did so. To then find out that the park is not adhering to that policy and is basically giving away that perk that I paid for to others who refused to fork over the money for it it is just plane wrong. It's not the end of the world or a major sore spot to me but it is something that erks me.

Rule 1: Don't be a jerk.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Busch Gardens related conversations.

Speaking of the preview, I was surprised to learn that my other half is actually interested in attending the Town Hall meeting. While she absolutely loves the park, I feel like I geek out about it much than she does, so color me impressed. Are these normally worth it?

They can be fun! There's also often free swag, so I would encourage it :)

I wish they would move the town hall back to the Festhaus just to make it easier to get into.
And push the time back by 30min or 1hr to allow more people to get into the park that want to attend. Even though last year I got there what I thought was early enough to get in to catch the Town Hall I missed it as the parking and admission process was very slow.

It's only a week away but right now the weather forecast (per the Weather Channel) for the sneak peak day is pretty good. Looking at partly cloudy, 61/48 for the temps with NE winds at 7 mph and only a 10% chance of rain. Of course this is subject to change and here's hoping that the coronavirus doesn't screw things up. Actual opening day is a little warmer at 64 but the chance of rain goes up to 40%.
