Went on Saturday and had a phenomenal experience. My boys had so much fun with the music and dancing. Crowds were high, comparatively, as I hoped with the wonderful weather. Decorations and lighting really impressed me. I think this event has even better potential in the future, but it's already a winner to me. The biggest issue will continue to be weather. Saturday was so nice two sessions may have worked, still lots of people there at closing, but I think the combined session overall makes more sense. Unfortunately Sunday wasn't great and this weekend looks terrible. I hope they get some more decent weather because this event deserves to shine!

A bit off-topic, but how much beignet do you get for the price? I’m really interested in getting them, but I don’t want to spend my money on just a few bites.

You get three reasonably sized Beignets. I will say that the quality control on them can be a bit uneven—mine were a bit underdone, although I'd prefer that to overdone if "perfectly fried" isn't an option.

That's a shame because they piled the meat like 1" high on our Brezel sandwiches last Saturday.

The past few times ive gotten the Jumbo pretzel I’ve been pretty disappointed. During Winter Weekends I couldn’t bit into it because it was so hard, I even hit it against a table and it sounded like a rock. And with my most recent visit being Saturday the thing so was small, Like 4-6 inches tall, my hand was literally larger than the pretzel.

I'm too lazy to go look it up, but this reminds me of a regular season comment about the pretzel inconsistency...

It’s really sad on inconsistent they are. I mean, yes they are hand made everyday which will lead to some inconsistencies, I understand that, but the fact that the hardness and size differ on such a large noticeable scale is kinda sad.

If I remember, it's mostly due to fresh vs older (not necessarily stale, but maybe frozen/thawed or day-old)

If they are doing it right I’d be willing to bet pretzels weigh the same pre-baking. The hand rolled size and shrinkage through baking will vary.

They have been consistently inconsistent for a few years.

So. Mardi Gras. What do people think of the event food? The weather keeps interfering with my getting down there from NOVA and I am super-curious about it.
