So does the park like open open at 1, or do they do that thing where they let people in way earlier than that and 1 is just when things are all open.

Curious, idk how they operate during the whole reservation thing.

I had the shrimp and grits at BGT for their Mardi Gras event last week which was more disappointing than the final season of Game of Thrones.

Jesus, whom I pray to every night, I beg you to make the BGW offerings much better.

Event review;

In short, pretty good if it was thrown together (which I sure hope it was, as it felt thrown together).

Food offerings were quality of what I tried, didn't get to everything. Was disappointed that Trapper's was fully replaced by seasonal food, but it makes sense why. Decorations were nice, probably could've done a bit more here but I understand saving money and all that jazz. Music selection wasn't bad, but felt like a rather short loop.

Overall, I'd say everything about it was pretty average Busch. Not great, not bad. Good time. Absolute highlight was the Festhaus show, I really appreciated how much improv those two guys did to make it as personal and immersive as a socially distanced show with only two performers can be. Honestly my biggest criticism of the entire event was probably how the music was planned out. I'm not sure what it was, but for some reason the music transitions between areas of the park playing different music were extremely noticeable, as you could hear two totally different tracks playing loudly on top of each other. A bit nitpicky, but specifically walking from germany to oktoberfest as well as into France from JH, it was jarring and uncomfortable.

Decent event, probably the best they can do for a theme in February. If this continues, I hope to see them build on it, perhaps a nightly parade through France, bit more decor, and a bit more of a commitment on either making it a cohesive event across the park or very separate between what each hamlet is focusing on rather than a weird hybrid of the two, if you know what I mean.

In my experience, BGW event food is almost always dramatically better than what BGT and SWO offer for their special events.

The past few times ive gotten the Jumbo pretzel I’ve been pretty disappointed. During Winter Weekends I couldn’t bit into it because it was so hard, I even hit it against a table and it sounded like a rock. And with my most recent visit being Saturday the thing so was small, Like 4-6 inches tall, my hand was literally larger than the pretzel.
Last time I got a jumbo pretzel, it was amazing, but the last time I got cinnamon sugar pretzel nuggets, they were awful. I think that at this point we all know buying BGW‘s overpriced pretzels are a risk: they’re either really good or just not good?

Expect the winter events to get a significant budget bump next season. This should greatly improve the events.

Oh also, someone care to explain this?

Did I miss something, when did we start calling it "Pretzel World"
The park had always cakes it pretzel world internally. Likely this was just a list of attractions that needed to be included in the sign and whoever made the list expected that the sign shop would use the proper name for it.
