If is cooked correctly it is quite good, however most places over cook it and deep fry. It gets tough and dry. I've had it in sausage at Disney, in a chili in South Carolina, and one one tasty grilled tail stake down in Hilton Head. I compare more to the texture of lobster. It can have a fishy gameyness to it. But I do still like it. You're right it is nothing like chicken.
I had is in the form of fried bites in New Orleans and in the form of grilled meat eat on a stick in South Carolina.

I had some alligator appetizers at Pat O’Brien’s in the French Quarter (home of the Hurricane!). I liked ‘me.
Bignè and coffee at Cafe Du Monde, some Po Boys, drinks at one of the oldest bars in the country. I checked a lot of boxes while I was there many years ago. I am excited to see how BG recreates the French Quarter vibe.

I had gator bites at Knoebels last year. I thought they were like a cross between fish and chicken, in terms of both texture and flavor. Not bad, but not something I would go out of my way to have again.

I just want to say that this event is good. The amount of decorations FAR exceeded my expectations. The scale of the entertainment presence shocked me too. Pair those aspects with a really robust culinary selection and I really think this looks like one of the stronger events so far. Weather is gonna be a challenge, but I had a good time tonight. Expectations exceeded for sure.

oh uh guess we broke Oscar's wiggly worm last night.

I’d love to hear from people who were at the park on Saturday: Which session did you go to and how were crowds? Friday felt really light to me. Sorta hoping Saturday went a little better for the park?

Seems unlikely given the cold: just bad luck with the timing of this cold front. We’re a ways out, but next weekend looks better, so I figure this was a chance for them to get the gears moving at the very least.
