RE: Mäch Tower

^ Well hey, considering they are extremely strict with having loose articles on MT (more so than other rides), it's pretty good. Being that no one has been able to take any other POV videos since it has opened.

RE: Mäch Tower

Yeah, One video I saw on youtube the guy filming it was just blurting out expletives until the drop. Removed since it was reported by someone (thank god).

RE: Mäch Tower

I rode MT for the first time last week myself. I found it to be a pretty good ride ( although I can count the number of Drop Towers I've rode on one hand). The most interesting part of my first ride (and the second ride subsequent to it) was not the ride itself but the extreme sensitivity of the safety equipment. I was easily able to fit in the harness, however the ride computer only cleared the harness as locked, once I had my seatmate push down on it.

RE: Mäch Tower

I must say I throughly enjoyed my three rides on MT. The line was well-managed, the themeing is a great touch, and it's a nice balance between thrill and observation of the park horizon. I like the music and vibrating effects, much more pronounced than I imagined. Yeah it opened late, yeah its not 300+ feet tall, yeah it drops for 3 seconds, but bottom line is, it makes people smile and say "ahh." In that regard, Busch has added another ride for people to enjoy when all the coasters have been tamed, DarKastle has been ridden/or is down, and you're on your way across the bridge to the likes of DaVinci's Cradle. When Verbolten opens, I think it will make that area a pretty nice one-stop-shop for clusters of neat rides and theming.

I'd rather have a nicely themed MT than KD's Windseeker...which has proven problematic for Cedar Point.

RE: Mäch Tower

Six Flags Great Adventure is getting a 200-ft. tall skycreamer next year. I might visit this time to get that credit.... and my 2nd stand-up credit.

To be totally honest I don't see the difference between windseeker and skyscreamer. I'd prefer a drop tower over both.

Thank you BringBack. Exactly.

...Minus the WindSeeker thing, which is a GREAT addition. I loved my time on Windseeker every time.

Really? I have yet to ride it but I heard of issues with the operation and the actual carriages bumping at CP. The idea of the ride seems cool I must admit, is it like Der Wirbelwind on steroids??:)

RE: Mäch Tower

I saw a post on facebook that in an effort to conserve energy Mach Tower is no longer spinning on it's ascent. I haven't been there in 3 weeks where it wasn't pouring and the rides were closed. Is this true? Or is this just a front for it's broke?

Don't take anything on facebook for fact unless it's actually posted by the direct source (a.k.a. Busch).
