RE: Mäch Tower

I think there's some merit to it as long as it only does like one rotation on the way down or something tame.

What do you mean?

Hard for me to explain with out drawing it up but think of a center shaft/track somewhat like this:

and then some sort of specially built drop car that let's you rotate on the way down.

One thing I know is that if we did that, you would go really slow on the way down. But how would that be safer?

RE: Mäch Tower

Best way to spin on the way down imo would be LIMs... Too much stress on the tower and too powerful of a spin if the tower was twisted. LIM motor would spin you fast at the top, then you would drop. The force from the drop would slow the spinning... Additional LIM brakes for the spinning at the bottom, Just in case.

What what why???? O.O

I have no idea...my only theory would be that that was what the problem was...maybe a problem with the spinning, hence why they haven't tested the spinning yet...but it's any guess :/

RE: Mäch Tower

I'm pretty sure ScoutN is correct.

So who thinks this will be Busch's last time working with Moser?

RE: Mäch Tower

I honestly dont. All Mäch Tower needs is a new motor, nothing major. (at least that's what i think, i havent been keeping tabs on the news lately)

RE: Mäch Tower

Galling.com reports it has opened. If they are wrong all should be angry and force them to retract!

RE: Mäch Tower

We made it to Williamsburg today, but went to Jamestown so that our bounce tickets will last through Saturday. I really hope Mach opens next weekend as this will be my only visit this year. I will try to get some video and pics this week so if anyone has any requests then let me know.
