James said:I heard it could be till July 4th until it opens. Now this isn't official or anything but I also heard that during a test run on Wednesday the brakes didn't work all the way and the carriage came crashing into the pavement damaging the seats. This would explain why the carriage was taken off.
what?James said:I never said it slammed into the ground.

PayneTrain said:Drop towers have brake,s then in case of electrical/e-stop failure, there are rare earth magnets that act as a passive system. These magnets, I presume, slowed it down, but it wouldn't/can't stop the car The force required to stop it suddenly is probably as deadly as letting it crash into the ground.

Gropplo said:It's not the brake system...they worked just fine...it's the fact that there was nothing to catch it
Gropplo said:No I mean the brakes did what they were supposed to do...severely slow it down. Unfortunately there were no shock absorbers at the bottom (which are needed) to make a full stop
