RE: Mäch Tower

What about apollo's, alpengist, or loch ness? I think it is because Blue/White are the traditional may pole colors

Griffon is blue to blend with the sky, but it is so that the trains are "flying" (this is also why it is so smooth)

Alpengeist blends with the sky, Loch Ness wa built before the restriction was in place and for Apollo's Chariot they were able to get specific permission (which apparently will not be happening again).

This restriction is written into the height waiver. Griffon is smooth because it's a new B&M.

Can any one guess why it is blue? and if you say kingsmill commanded it, your wrong

Reasons that have been discussed on here since the site was started.

RE: Mäch Tower

Yup Mach Tower is sitting in the employee parking lot. If you ride Griffon you can see it.
I'd love to show everyone a picture but we are prohibited from doing so.

RE: Mäch Tower

I saw a crane poking through the trees when I drove by today. Anyone inside the park today get to see anything?

RE: Mäch Tower

Nice, when I drove by yesterday there was something starting to poke out of the trees! I wonder if they can get the tower structure up before they open on Friday.

RE: Mäch Tower

Can anyone get pics of it going vertical? The roller coaster enthusiasts world would me much obliged.

I'll go by tomorrow.

RE: Mäch Tower

I rode by earlier. Cranes are busy at work and you can see a piece in place if you look carefully. Probably would be hard to get a good pic at this point. If they add another section, for sure. I'll check tomorrow too.

RE: Mäch Tower

Probably won't be much work going on tomorrow, it's supposed to be stormy and windy. Not good for construction, especially construction of a big metal pole.

After going on 64 in NN the conditions are NOT favorable. One could always take the Busch exit and stop for the 60 exit up top and snap some shots.

RE: Mäch Tower

He's sitting in the Pembroke Mall in Virginia Beach (Towncenter's in the background) which is odd because the closest port is in Portsmouth, odd that it would be in VB

The past two days the M&M has had bad backups. Probably went there on his way to the HRBT (yes out of the way but the best thing in that area without going to Lynnhaven)
