Most of the Mach Tower is still on a boat coming over from Europe. The ride will not open until Memorial Day Weekend.

Didn't Illuminights start in the middle of June? I'm pretty sure it was after Memorial day.

it started on june 21 i think and they had memorial day fireworks as-well.

Clever, Fur Dozy. You're getting on them quicker now, eh? Anyway, I'm sick of Busch making us wait until Memorial Day for their new attractions. Long lost are the days when Apollo and Alpengeist opened at the end of March.

Well less than a week till preview day. Heres an update of what to expect around Oktoberfest.

1. Guess your weight is no more. That area is now a path heading towards Mach Tower.
2. Kiddie swings are now located where the drink stand by Waveswinger used to be.
3. Red Baron cover pavilion now matches the ride itself being the colors red, brown, and a little gold.

With everything I've told you guys in the past weeks there shouldn't be any surprises come Saturday

Ok, I am in Richmond today at a different local park and was told that during the first few weekends that BGW is open, none of the guests are going to be able to view the current construction of Mach Tower due to them placing a large fence like material around the site. Is this true, was anyone at BGW in that area today?

Yeah this is the usual for any construction at BGW

It's also normal for there to be gaps in said fence and/or ways to see over it (in this case, the swings). I imagine that it's the same fence that they had up during Christmas Town...

Well seeing as how they already have a pretty large structure already built they would have to put up a HUGE fence to cover it up...I would say that we'll be able to see at least the top half-ish of it

Does anyone know when they will start acually installing the main tower? I cannot wait to see exactly what itt looks like!
