I don't know why but I get the feeling that this show will be like American Jukebox was. A show with live performers (dancers) and vocalists singing to the original songs in a timeline going from the 50's/60's up to, say the 90's at the latest but probably 80's. With what they've shown so far in the logo design it looks like they're going with an psychedelic or, as flamanar said, Austin Powers look. But so long at that look stays inside the Globe Theater that will work for me. Then it will just be a matter to see if it's a quality show or not and that is a whole other question.

I totally agree. I hope it's like American Jukebox.

I actually enjoyed American Jukebox. I remember as a kid just turning into a teenager barely of see the show for the first time with my grandparents and family. I enjoyed the history of the music. I do hope if it sin't anything spectacular, it ends up like American Jukebox.

Don't know why I didn't do this earlier, but here's just the London Rocks preview from the 7th:

Today is my first time watching it in over a week now. I must say, now that the initial intrigue over the projection tech and whatnot has worn off, I'm much, much less impressed with it now than I was on the 7th.

And that presentation just SCREAMS what "...more than 200 musical directors, designers, technicians and artists...ambitious four years in the making...international team...” will get you.

"Guests will feel the thrills and excitement of being rock stars in the heyday of rock-n-roll London as they walk through Busch Gardens’ English village.” ? Yeah, like the tweenie Bridgit Mendler fans they are focusing on now will get that. Look for my talk with that age of kids elsewhere here and you she they thought WHAM was too old.

Plus, leaving every other genre lovers out in the cold. Like the VERY short lived Country show they did in New France. Or, when they pumped The Who and the such in Banbury. I like hearing different genres of music, but not here. There is a reason these were short lived.

But, the spawn has to do what it wants until having the public bash him into changing it back. Meanwhile, upper management gives it a raise and sends it to the next area to violate.

EDIT: If that video wasn't enough to tell you how bad this will be, reference Entwined and the public outcry for return of TIO.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

If it took all THIS to JUST get it going, it must be some mess. I wouldn't announce these "facts" as bragging rights. The 200 directors really gets me. Do they even know what a director is? 200? Are there two for each person? Anything takes ONE director (the visionary), and maybe an assistant director, that handles the show from tech to acting.

Even if they are calling them "directors" for the other areas, I can only think of about 10. Like stage, tech, light, sound, dance, vocal, etc. Two each is still 20 some. Even 20 areas would only be 40 people.

How disconnected would something be to have 200 artistic types saying it is going to be like this or it's going to be like that? How about 20 bosses at work? Have you ever had just 10 people and try to pick a place to eat?

Also, how much has 200 people and 4 years cost the park? Is this a Broadway play or a theme park show? I'm not even sure a Broadway play would take that much people and time. If it does, it must spectacular (or Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark). Are we likely to get a spectacular Broadway production out of this? I think not.

Maybe I've been out of theatre a while and they do things WAY differently now?

No, I haven't seen it yet. Yes, it could happen to be awesome. 200 people and 4 years? What I DID see from the preview, isn't Broadway restroom cleaning quality in my opinion. If I saw that as a commercial for a movie or play, I wouldn't go watch it.

I'm looking at the track record at BGW from SG and the facts presented so far. I am forced to question this whole idea.

Sorry for the long post. It just kept spilling out.

Mutant marshmallows with video projected onto them. What's there not to like? /end sarcasm/

The presentation seemed like some misguided attempt as psychedelia to me, but I couldn't quibble with the music.

Earlier in the morning around opening time, one of the doors to the Globe theater was left cracked open, with a good view of the inside of the theater. Just wondering if anyone got pictures before the door was closed fully?

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

I am excited to see how they are using the new projector technology for this show. I heard from one of the directors that the show is expected to use very expensive projectors to create more of a "3-dimensional effect". I would expect to see transitions similar to that of Iceploration in Tampa. With all of the gimmicks they are trying to pull, I hope they get it right from the start. I hope this isn't a repeat of Gloria, version 1, which was fair, but looked like a PowerPoint presentation. I'm sure that if they had input from "200 directors", as they claim, at least one of them is bound to have common-sense, I just hope the "powers-that-be" will be humble enough take their advice.

^A.K.A., let's hope they practice it and get in down BEFORE the premier! :)

That's not soooo bad. It's just a subtle little sneak-peek at the new show. I kind of like the display. That said, if that's what the whole area is going to look like next year, we're going to have issues.
