They aren't phonebooths, they are just TARDISes in need of a fresh coat of blue paint.

The Doctor actually took Martha back to Elizabethian England, where they met Shakepeare, and saved Earth at the Globe.

Furthermore, as we all know, "People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect. But actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey... stuff."

So, you can see that it all fits together and it makes perfect sense to mix 16th and 20th century London.

(Y'all had to know this was coming.)

BGW is using a tv show to blatantly ignore the theme of one of their countries. Now I seriously wouldn't mind Banbury Cross being called "The Second Home of Dr. Who."

I didn't hate the preview - I'm just curious about how well it's going to translate to a real theatrical experience, as we only saw projections on balloons... It leaves me intrigued.

EDIT: That having been said...

a) I hope the Globe still resembles the Globe inside. I have always been impressed by how much BGW's Globe resembles what we know of the original Globe Theatre (aside from the open-air middle section).

b) In honour of British pop culture and our love for Scott, I propose we all sit in the back row for the first performance, wearing black bowlers, white shirts and eye makeup:

Alright so I have a question to ask those who know about the fees for royalties to songs. Exactly how much is BGW going to have to pay in royalties in order to avoid a landmark lawsuit for using all these songs?

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

From what was said earlier, the park just has to pay a blanket fee. One fee and they are in the clear. I am too busy to find the post that stated it but someone did say that elsewhere.

I believe the flat fee pertains to the use of recorded materials. Performance fees are another beast entirely.

It depends on the type of license you need as they have many different categories. Here's some info from ASCAP's website. I'm sure that BMI is probably the same way.

http://www.ascap.com/licensing/types/theme-amusement-park-with-admission.aspx

How much this costs I don't know but I read on another site that talked about the blanket licenses that depending on what type of venue and license it is some can run $10,000 - $20,000 per license and possibly more.

Spotted this on the park website.

"Busch Gardens, known for high-caliber productions like Celtic Fyre® is raising the bar again in 2014 with the debut of London Rocks™. Guests will embark on a musical journey that explores the roots of rock-n-roll and transforms Busch Gardens’ Globe Theatre into a rousing 25-minute live action and multi-media rock spectacular. The musical revue explores the powerful role that music plays in people’s lives."

^Yeah, they fail to mention the train wreck that is know as Entwined!

Busch Gardens, known for train wrecked Disney type shows, is add another show to the line up.

These words, make me think of Entwined, and the rock show at BGT. In the bottom of my heart I really think this will be yet another train wreck, but I still haven't lost all hope.

From what I have heard we can expect to see very much use of projector technology. For a while now, the park, and even their sister park in Tampa have been experimenting with the latest in scrim-layering technology. Try to think of Gloria 2.0, only on a bigger scale. Iceploration also used this very successfully. My biggest hope for this show is that they don't go to overboard with this new technology, which can sometimes be temperamental. I hope Scott will listen to the advice of the other directors they're working with. We all know how he love glitter, rainbows, and anything "overly happy", but he would be wise to listen to others so it doesn't go too far... Again...
