Listen to the lyrics. the song goes "I'd like to be under the sea", not 'I am under the sea'. The kids would love to be under the sea, but their parents couldn't afford a scuba diving trip so they had to settle for the aquarium. The aquarium animals, on the other hand, sing the same song because they were taken from their happy home in the sea and would give anything to return to it, but they are trapped within the glass walls of the aquarium.Jesy said:I guess the aquarium comment addresses that issue, although why they would visit an aquarium and end up 'under sea' is something I've decided not to examine too closely.
