Any updates? Has it finally passed inspection?

The building has seemingly passed the slab and framing issues, but we haven't seen any new inspections filed since early December. Presumably all reasons for a rushed deadline have been missed so with no longer an urgent need, the building has likely dropped in priority. At least during these winter months

It had a partial past on framing on 12/13 and a pass on Insulation on 12/27. Electrical has yet to scheduled.

I really wish that looks like it fit in the area. I'm still disappointed the enclosed themed building got cut back to this.

It looks like a half-assed outdoor workshop area with a roof, or something a local parks and rec would put up for activities
As someone that’s gotten one of those done - that’s nicer, likely under budget, and done on time. The county is still in meetings hearing NIMBY’S talk about increased kids in the park on a nice summer day.

The one you worked on nicer, faster, and under budget?

Just the opposite. The one I worked on was crapper than what I see in that picture, took 9 months to build, and was $5k over budget.

I dunno what the budget was here, but given the known failed inspections I can't believe it was exactly on time unless they baked in a decent amount of wiggle room.

Honestly, 5k isn't that far over budget to a large company like SEAS. It isn't even that far over for my company (small busniess that services large businesses) for 90% of my projects

I’ve been told that the park’s intention is to later add walls to the structure, maybe when the rest of festhaus park is developed and opened to the public. Apparently it was purposeful to go as cheap as possible upfront and then outfit the structure over the coming years as needs change.

Well... Done on time definitely not.

Remember Santa was supposed to be there _last year_!

And that means finishing in like Sept/Oct so they have time time to decorate.

They're at least 6 months behind original schedule.

For a small township working on a shoe string budget it’s killer.

Oh, I misunderstood your comment. I thought you were referring to the Busch project and somehow knew the project budget. It's what I get for posting comments past my bedtime.

All good! I go through some phases where despite the higher up issues with SEAS, the continued bashing on BGW gets tiring. They are just getting blamed for every issue with everything. I’m not going to give them blind benefit of the doubt, but some of it is getting absurd.

For something designed to be an Entertainment flex space it’s nice compared to what I’ve seen. Those look like some really nice engineered steel beams, the roof structure is nice, has actual roofing drainage, looks set up to have walls thrown on it at any time.

Sorry for the double post, but it's a week apart so I figured it's ok.

The more I processed and thought about this, the more I realized this was really out of the way. And made me wonder - could this stay SBNO for a year to three while something happens with Festhaus Park? I know some HOS events go on in Festhaus Park, but they happen inside the train tracks, and this is outside the train tracks - meaning it would be quite the hike without additional attraction to go back there. But if you put a coaster back there (even inside the tracks) and do a few small things on just the other side, this could make more sense.

I know this goes borderline concept area: Would be cool to see them use more of the space slightly southwest of the old Drachen Fire Station outside the tracks with the new Event Facility and have the new coaster pass by it. Could be a nice "photo moment" too with a path going close to where the drop for a coaster back to the boneyard is. Could allow the remainder of Festhaus Park to be used for expansion too.
