I saw an episode of 'how it's made' that had a vending machine that cooked pizza for you in 2 minutes. I wonder if they just slapped one of these things in a back room. Cause you know, vending machine pizza has got to be delicious right?

In the interest of full disclosure, the Vice President of Culinary reached out to BGWFans regarding the details of our experience on Saturday. We have offered to hold off on our full review if the park is committed to implementing changes to improve the restaurant. We'll keep you all updated.

I think that's wonderful! That speaks very highly of them. It says they must have a desire to be as good as they can and to right what mistakes possible. I hope it works out, La Cucina being updated could be a big win for everybody!

Unless they get someone like chef Carla Pellegrino from Rao's restaurant to revamp the menu, I will never step foot in that place. That location is cursed and has NEVER served decent food. I can't even remember the last time I got food from there but it's been at least 15 years.

I actually used to enjoy the Seasoned Fries they used to have in the 90's early 2000's. They were covered in something similar to Old Bay and paired well with the cheese sauce. I've only eaten their once (not counting Dasher's Diner) since they ditched the seasoned fries.

Doesn't seem to be a buffet. There are 2 cash registers at the exits to the food line, with the shelves to place trays while paying for food (as opposed to the registers by the entrance to the restaurant.

Posted picture menu had (without prices):
Artisan pizza (we thought it looked like the Marco Polo pizza)
Meatball sub
Chicken parm sub
Salads

Does this mean I can finally access the giant water cannons for Roman Rapids without having to pay for a mediocre buffet?

I'm loving this news. I've avoided this restaurant since it became a buffet, but I used to love eating there and dining by Roman Rapids. The new menu seems similar to what it used to offer, so I'm looking forward to it. I'll be glad to see that dining area opened up to everyone again too.

When I went there it was closed. I'm not sure it's open yet. I asked a security guard right next to it about the pizza and he said: "You can get the same pizza in the Italy Pavillion". I also asked if it was the same pizza from last year, and he said "Yes."

Last year's pizza wasn't the same as the one at Marco Polo's Marketplace, was it? I wouldn't mind having a regular pizza restaurant if it has higher quality pizza. I also agree that the area next to Roman Rapids is a beautiful place to dine.

No not by a long shot. I find it hard to believe that it's the same higher qualty as Marco Polo. Don t get me wrong I would be thrilled if it is but based on my recollection unless they did a significant remodel durringvthe off season I don't think they are setup for that.

They need to give up on the restaurant idea there and go back to a quick service. That was the best place in the summer to sit and enjoy dinner and watch the rapids.
