Frankly the pricing seems rather cheap, I wonder if this is just a way to implement the same idea as 2023 haunt but a bit more efficiently? Like instead of doing a more expensive ticket they have to scan twice they just have an upgrade?

If pass members have to pay, I think a lot of them are going to not renew. This might be the final nail in the coffin. Why pay the same price you were before when you don't get winterfest (Rip) or haunt included. Add in the fact that food options are more limited this year with multiple places not open, a lackluster 50th celebration, ride unannounced removals, loss of local talent (park GM, chef and the full time layoffs), and Pantherian still not open (not the parks fault). We were hoping that merger would mean legacy SF parks were run like CF not the other way around.

I have one friend already stating he's not renewing over the houses being upcharges after the cancellation of Winterfest after it was marketed as a pass perk. Not a great year for KD even with a shiny new B&M opening. Layoffs, ads popping up in the park now, Anaconda just being removed no announcement at all, other rides removed. Not a great result for KD after one full season under the merged Six Flags.

Im still gonna renew either way because i still get to go throughout the year whenever I want and they have a water park. A decent one at that. $7 a month is worth it to me just to ride i305. The food quality is irrelevant to me because I refuse to give into park food prices anyway. They can completly get rid of food for all I care. Just keep the free water

The options at SF parks last year were all houses for one night or all houses all season for a bit more. Best I can recall about $35 and $47 at the in-park kiosk.

If KD gets this, it will still be a better deal than SFA Sunday night because that was only 3 hours to do everything. I got in all houses but rode almost no rides. GrAdv was the same price though, for a lot more, still only 4-5 hours to do it.

It wouldn't make sense to charge single-day ticket holders for houses too (unless tickets are super cheap), and then not charge passholders (except Prestige?). If they don't charge for CF houses, I'm paying less for all CF and SF parks than I was. If they do, KD all-season Houses adds about what I was paying for a legacy SF Membership before they raised the price, and 2 parks of new upcharges is about what I'd be paying.

As to Winterfest, Christmas Town used to be an upcharge for passmembers, but cheaper for a day pass than regular season due to reduced offerings. WF never did make much economic sense and if it was an upgrade, they could offer a free one for renewing/buying a pass early.

While I'm not a fan of making the mazes upcharge, I did Fright Fest at GAdv last year and despite the park being wall to wall people all night, the maze lines hovered around 30 minutes. Maybe its because the maze quality isn't great. Maybe people don't wanna pay the upcharge, but it was really nice to run into short lines for every haunt.

I personally preferred the original IP haunts over the movie-themed ones. It seems like the park has a lot more creative freedom with those so they could make the props more elaborate. The movie themed mazes were pretty bare-bones all things considered. I wasn't really expecting HHN quality mazes but I was expecting more than just "large room with one elaborate prop and absolutely nothing else".
