So, between last year and this year, pass members lost Winterfest and the primary selling point of Haunt. And then the CEO and CFO go on their earnings call scratching their heads about why consumers aren’t viewing passes as having the value they used to have. What a joke.

Is it strange that I’m not shocked? Like I had a feeling this is what was going to start to happen when they went to such a discounted base priced pass. I don’t want to give them ideas but when are they going to start charging and making scaritories behind ‘paywalled’ areas.

As much as this comes off a little greedy I am going to add this:
I think upcharging the mazes is actually going to be really beneficial when it comes to cutting down on potential fights and conflicts in the park during these events.

I disagree with this point. The majority of fights tend to happen in the scare zones and having less people in the mazes means more people in the scare zones. Yikes.

I feel like they could’ve raised the pass price 20-30 bucks and do the houses included in passes rather than this way because even if it would cost the same people would see it as cheaper. Charging people a little at every corner is just going to annoy and alienate your customers and they’ll just go to busch gardens where it’s still included in the pass/ticket

I think what you may see is just less of the people that would have gone to it just wont.

Another unethical move by management of this company. They sold 2025 season passes with the assumption that Haunt would be included as always. But this is expected from this company the way they bait and switch their customers. Cutting advertised operating hours with no notice, closing entire parks with no notice, taking away advertised events, taking away advertise benefits from the prestige pass, it’s definitely not a very ethical company. They use their sleazy disclaimer to do it legally, but it’s not ethical.

This was to be expected with the cheap season passes. They are going to pull tricks like this. What’s next? Making us pay for parking after allowing us to believe it’s included on the season pass?

This company is struggling with attendance because of the poor customer experience. This just makes the customer experience even worse.

It looks like they got very confident that cheap season passes would let them continue to treat the customers poorly and give them a mediocre experience.

For someone who would always buy Fright Lane, the fact that the "Haunted Attractions Express Pass" is universally cheaper than the Fright Lane used to be is a bonus for me, and something had to be done. The regular lines for the mazes got so bad that an average guest visiting for one day only wouldn't have a chance to get through all of them in one night.

Season passes had been dirt cheap forever, so it's not really fair to argue that "this is what comes with cheap season passes."

At least its a better idea than making it a separately gated event like they tried that one year haha.

I feel for park employees that will have to eat all of passholders and guests wrath over this while the people that made the decision are nowhere near the front line for it.
Always my first thought when it comes to controversial choices, as someone who deals with it daily (GameStop could not care less about store level employees). I can’t imagine how many random Great Adventure ride ops have had someone bitch at them over Kingda Ka.

This is incredibly disappointing. I have been a prestige pass holder for the last 2-3 years and have several expensive add ons (all season dining, all season drink+, and all parks passport) and now six flags is asking for another add on to experience this event in its totality. An event that my pass was advertised to include. I typical visit haunt the majority of the weekends that the event runs and bring several friends (non pass holders) each visit. But now that’s unjustifiable when Busch Gardens is offering a far more complete experience. The kicker is when we are there for haunt we spend more in the park than any other time of year on merch and drinks. The cost for the all season haunt maze being more than next years gold pass is utterly baffling. All of this is just so anti-consumer and scorning the consumer is what gave the legacy six flags company the horrible public perception they had and is what got them into their mess to begin with - and now history is repeating itself with one bad decision after the next.
