IMG_3925.jpeg IMG_3926.jpeg IMG_3928.jpeg IMG_3927.jpeg IMG_3932.jpeg IMG_3935.jpeg IMG_3934.jpeg I was lucky enough to be at the private event hosted at the park this past weekend, and they have made significant progress on the new scare zone. I have to say this is probably the most densely packed scare zones I’ve ever seen in terms of quantity of set pieces. In a world where we are seeing them cut back left and right it’s nice to see something new.

WOW that is packed and has plenty of hiding places. I feel like its overly packed? Might be bad if the park is super busy but I don't know

What a pleasant surprise! Catacombs looks great! I see some props are repurposed (such as the DJ booth in the middle of the zone), and the attention to detail in the bar scene is phenomenal. I’m interested in seeing how this all plays out on Friday night.

I can’t be the only one that thinks it looks awful

I mean its themed to catacombs decently enough, theres places to hide and scare, it's kinda tight so it forces you to get close to the actors. It will look good in the dark with fog. What do you think is wrong with it? Least they made an attempt to care about actors scaring people by using actual props vs garbage BGW

I saw it over the weekend too and thought it looked pretty good. It's got to be one of the most densely packed scare zones I've seen in terms of the quantity of props. I think the walls and gray color scheme match the existing brick walls up and down the side of the Center Walkway, which makes the whole space feel enclosed (kind of like a catacombs). It also looked like there were a handful of spots with bare plywood where more theming will obviously be added before Haunt starts.

As bummed as I am about having to pay for houses, today will likely be my one and done for the year.

Looking forward to providing feedback tonight. Will do all the houses once or twice later in the evening to see if they have added anything noticeable to them. I'm also curious of the staffing levels inside of the mazes given the additional expense. Catacombs will be the first and last thing I do tonight. Scare zones in that pathway have always been my favorite.

If anybody has anything they would like me to check out let me know, I'm not getting there until about 9pm but will do my best to hit everything!

While I plan on going multiple times for Haunt, I don't think I'll be paying for the houses each time. I'm going to do them tonight and my next visit but I'm just going to focus on night rides for the most part. Even my buddy who goes exclusively for Haunt feels the same. I do lock forward to see the Catacombs area myself and a couple of my favorite houses myself.

Check to see if they have any cool updated Haunt merch. From what I remember last year the merch was kinda basic

Yeah, despite the empty park tonight I've already seen people super annoyed. Direct quote: "Why did we pay $50 to get in if we can't go in the house?!"
This guy was flipping out cursing the staff member at the house saw me scan my pass and came over to ne and kept asking if I got it for having a pass. I said no I boughtbit was an add on. Cursed at ne for saying it has been advertised as an add on for at least two months.

That stinks you had to listen to that!

This was one of my biggest concerns for this event this year. How many people are going to come and not know the houses are an upcharge?? It is likely going to be even worse on a busy Saturday, where the park has had typical crowd problems in the past…

Was there any signage at the entrance or anywhere in the park notifying guest of the upcharge?

Just confirming from queue times……are Pantherian, Twisted Timbers, Flight of Fear, Tumbili, Apple Zapple, and other major rides all down? I wanted to come but I saw that was the situation and decided against.
