I can't remember if John Reilly was in Williamsburg when he was promoted or if he came back from a different park. But you might have to go all the way back to at least him (if not later) to find the last park president who was currently working in Williamsburg at the time of their promotion.

John Reilly was at BGW since his initial hire while he was still in High School all the way up to when he became park president. He then went to SWSD as their park president until he went to Corporate.

What is with these park presidents and their sad, short runs? Kevin was a very good president who I thought continued the really good momentum that David Cromwell started and hopefully Kevin's influence will still be here after his departure.

Question is, who's going to succeed him?

I imagine they will use the stock of pine they check have and order new ones to replace them.

I feel like even they may lose the cost of those pins they should not be distributed. That pin was meant to be given out by the president, no one else. To me they kinda lose their value if they are just handed out by anyone else.

They're still given out by the president; just not Lembke. His successor will still be the only one that has them.

They've been given out at pin events, traded amongst employees and guests, etc for a while now. It's not a very rare pin honestly.

Again, this is my feelings on them. They should only be given out by the president. Once given out by him trading is fine amongst employees and guests.

I think we will all miss Kevin ! I wonder if they have their replacement already since the job was never posted !
I don't know if they have their replacement yet but from what I have been told the people in Williamsburg who have enough experience are not interested in the position at this time. It's a combination of being close to retirement and having other job duties and responsibilities at the corporate level that they would have to give up. A few VPs at Busch are also run the corporate portion of their department. I know that currently Jeff Thomas is the interim president and he is the current VP of WCUSA and the corp VP of park operations. It seems likely that it's someone from another park but we'll see. I wouldn't mind if Carl came back personally.
