I’m sure they took great pains to avoid any repeat, after the bear head had its unscheduled disassembly event. Honestly I think the new decoration looks pretty cool, and I hope it stays around for a long time.
2 Shields on the front making the train be what’s invading the village is what should have been the decoration from the start. Thematically it makes more sense (even if the premise for the ride story doesn’t).I’m sure they took great pains to avoid any repeat, after the bear head had its unscheduled disassembly event. Honestly I think the new decoration looks pretty cool, and I hope it stays around for a long time.
Yes...when I worked there I told RAPs and QQs to leave their items in the baskets as they walked to their seats. It's important to be proactive and not wait until restraints are locked to check for articles, but it doesn't excuse how that guy reacted. Bottom line is, if guests are going to be rude to team members like that, they will be asked to leave. Ride operators are there for the safety of guests. If a hat flies off on the ride, it will have a painful impact when it hits somebody. I also want to mention that the guy was wearing a hood over his hat so it may have been hard for them to spot at first, which reminds me of how some guests like to hide their hats on the ride (sit on them or stuff them in shirts) and then put it back on when returning to the station and to supervisors or the manager looking like they had rode with the hat the entire time. It pisses me off.IMO a good ride op sees that as someone is coming up that ramp (especially from that way) and let’s them know to take off the hat. Then as he’s getting on should have been said. If he was told for the first time after everything was locked in….I take issue from that from a consumer end.
I’m glad your safe, and like I said, 0 excuses for how the guy reacted.I didn't say anything to the guy at all, but I was definitely off the hinge when writing that post. In the moment of the incident I was shocked, alarmed, and disgusted that a guest would behave like that. He caused a huge scene, which brought me bad memories from when I worked there. I'm very glad that I made it out in a single piece.
