We noticed how the size of the ride really impacts dispatch time. Even with no lines and the crew getting you ready to go fast, you still have to sit and wait for the train to hit the brake run. With heavy crowds, front riders blocking the steps, the size of the loading platform bottle necking bodies, and people being people...little wonder it takes no time for this to become over an hour's wait.

I had my first night ride on this coaster during my late afternoon visit in Saturday which was crazy good. I rode the viking train which sadly doesn't have the dragon head, instead it has the ride logo in front which is a shame.

They added the ride logo now? Do you have a picture? I was told the dragon head was currently being fixed by the manufacturer, and that it simply "broke". I sure hope the ride logo is just a placeholder for the time being.

As of 7/3 there is just a BG logo or ride logo on the Dragon train. Bear train still has Bear.

Not sure if this info is correct but I asked one of the ride ops about it and they said it was damaged and was being fixed but that reinstalling it was a down time involved process and not to expect it to return till at least the end of summer. But again that could be him blowing smoke.

To prevent people from breaking the dragon in the future they should have a replica dragon encounter outside. It's obvious that these people have never heard of plastic. This way, maybe those people will get a chance to experience what real plastic feels like. "Busch Gardens Williamsburg; Real. Amazing."

Right. It's a joke referring to SeaWorld's "Real. Amazing." ad campaign which is about people making connections with animals through "real" experiences. I am jokingly suggesting they do the same with an inanimate dragon head that people are so curious about that they keep playing with it.

Several people touch the dragon at the front of the viking train to see what it feels like. You would think they know what plastic is, but they touch it anyway. I don't know what's worse, doing that, or using it as a handle to get in/out of the train as I have mentioned earlier.

My speculation on this is that it will be replaced at the end of summer when BG stops daily operation. They would have to take the train off the main track and put it in storage/maintenence, and if they were to do this during daily operation they'd have the hours of 10/11PM to 9:00ish AM to do it. I don't see that happening. I imagine they'd rather have both trains in operations daily than take one off for a day or two to re-attach the dragon head.

So once BG winds down daily operation I think it'll be done, I'd bet it'll be on before HOS starts.
