Man, I haven't been on Phoenix in a long time.

Different styles but the experience of Invadr was a bunch like Boulder Dash for me. Fun drop, lots of air, just a race from start to finish. (Of course boulder dash is more out and back less twisty but the thrill is similar).

I rode Phoenix yesterday and there isn't much, IMO, that compares in relation to airtime. Admittedly I am quite late to liking roller coasters so I do not have near the experiences as most here. I can't compare to the First Place Golden Ticket 2017 recipient for best wooden coaster El Toro.
Invadr seems just as fast as Phoenix to me, and it's a real fun ride. I don't think it has as much airtime though. Invadr shines for me with it's great banking in turns, sense of speed throughout the ride, and of course the fact that it has a theme.

How does this wooden coaster compares to Six Flags EL TORO and knoebels PHOENIX? Is air time comparable to those 2?

Not even close.  InvadR'a airtime is laughable compared to El Toro and Phoenix.   But comparing these coasters isn't really fair.  El Toro and Phoenix are out-and-back coasters designed for airtime where InvadR is a small compact coaster that twists in and out of itself.

hmmmm. you guys are making it sound invadr's not that exciting.

If there is no airtime, and just banks, what is so good about the ride? How is the theming? Any cool special effects like velbtron?

It just doesn't seem that special to me from what i am reading.

I don't think anyone said that there is no airtime.

Is is a huge woodie that will injure as many people as it thills? No. Does that mean it isn't fun? In my opinion, no again.

It was designed to be a family coaster, but to most people's surprise, it noticeably outperforms that designation. I'd argue that it is too intense for a lot of kids and more timorous guests.

The first drop it short, but unexpectedly has the Nessie secret sauce, getting the Gs perfectly for that ineffable stomach feeling.

There is a lot of air, just not thigh bruising or rapey air.

The ride, itself, feels a lot faster than the stats indicate it is objectively running.

In short, it is fun and "spry."

Personally, I put it in the same category at White Lightening.

No one should ride InvadR looking for the next El Toro. That doesn't mean it is Scooby Doo, either.

In my opinion, especially at night, InvadR is a lot of fun.

Night ride on Invadr was amazing. I can't wait for vegetation to grow in and those threes they planted mature. The ride is going to be so much fun.

Invadr is a great little woddie which stats or even POV don't do justice. I love the turn at the top and the first drop. There's so much unexpected momentum up there.

I never said it didn't have airtime.  I just said it was a joke compared to the two airtime monsters you asked us to compare it too.  And I'll say this again... it's not a fair comparison as you're asking us to judge this ride against two coasters that have an out-and-back layout and built on flat land that is designed for massive airtime.  InvadR's layout is more compact with twister elements and built on terrain.  It's an apples and oranges comparison.

Also, if you go back to the beginning of this thread and read my review you'll know that I really liked Invadr.

I mean....not meant to compete with a woodie like El Toro.

Mystic Timers, White Lightning, possibly Thunderhead...that's the type of realm of coasters that Invadr lives in. Smaller, family style coasters. Not bigger thrill style coasters.

The one nit pick I have with Invadr are its stats tee shirts. They are completely underwhelming and do not do the ride justice. I love woodies and this ride has found a special place in my heart. And not just because I sat for an ENTIRE WEEK waiting for it to soft open only to be cut in front of by a park employee and NOT get the first ride in the back seat... But I'm not bitter... OH NO I'm fine... I digress...

As I was saying about the stats tee shirts... They do not do the ride justice. They are a perfect example of the the expression, "the sum of the parts do not equal the whole."

Definitely the first time I have seen intense airtime described as "rapey."  I hope not!  :(

Though my multiple rides on a trimless Magnum XL-200 back in the '90s definitely felt like a very ...anatomically personal assault.  Not gonna lie, I had trouble walking for about 2-3 hours after that.

Airtime on Apollo and Mako is "rapey." I've always figured it was thematic on the former.

It is a characterization I coined one day, when I was pulling my shirt back down, approaching Apollo's station.

On the physical assult side, El Toro literally punched me in the stomach. Nasty ride.

El Toro never punched me, but some of those Intamin trains (e.g. El Toro, SFNE Superman) make me nervous at boarding time.  They're the kid in high school who was always just one too-cold slice of cafeteria pizza away from totally losing it and wrecking the nearest kid in a blind rage.  Part of you wants to stay away, but it's impossible because the attraction to danger is too exciting to ignore. Anything can happen at any time.

And really, what are the odds that you amongst all the other kids will be the one in the crosshairs when OOF GLARG OWOWOW OH MY GOD STOP IT BOOOHH BOOFF AWWK GAKK awwwwrrrrrllllmmmmpppuhhhh-helpppp...

Intamin's Skyrush restraints are that kid in a rage. My femurs are still recovering....from 4 years ago
