So has the dragon head returned yet or is it still beheaded?

Was just there on Friday and no head on the lead car. I thought it was missing. The bear is still there. What happened? Anyone have info?

As for first rides on this, it's a fun coaster and very smooth. Loved the airtime and the banks. Rode it 3 times, longest queue was about 35-45 minutes. Line was out to the entry point. Early on it was about a 5-10 minute wait. Could be a bit longer, but given the area restriction, it's a nice little airtime coaster.

The summer ride Ops told me and other people that it had been damaged by people holding on to it getting in and out of the cars but they also said that it would be fixed and reinstalled during the off time after the season ended. Since that didn't happen the truth of anything else that they said is anyone's guess.

I wonder what kind of impact the snow has on InvadR if any. If Florida was the only test market for this type of coaster before, then I doubt snow has ever been a factor until now.

Out of curiosity -- how was Florida a test market for InvadR's breed of coaster?

The only connections I'm aware of between InvadR and Gwazi are GCI as the ride provider and Millennium Flyer trains as the rolling stock... both of which have proven themselves outside of Tampa.

What am I missing?

White Lightning at Fun Spot with the steel supports and wooden track.

I'm guessing because InvadR and White Lightning at Fun Spot in Orlando are the only two GCI coasters that have been made with a steel support structure. But that's not gonna be the reason it valleyed.

Ahhh, got it... I was trying to connect InvadR and Gwazi and have it somehow be about lack of snow.

Still don't get the snow related bit, but at least I understand the Florida reference now. Thanks, all.

Usually with valleying in the winter, you're dealing more with cold than with snow. If I had to place a bet on the cause, it'd be on grease. When it gets cold, you have to change to a different lubricant, or it'll thicken up. More friction = valleying. I remember Holiday World put custom wheels on their Gerstlauer trains for this reason, among others. Gerstlauer wheels had a sealed grease well, unlike PTC with just a zero fitting. Wonder what the lube system looks like for Millennium Flyers? Can't say I've ever paid attention.

I took the chance and went and it was fine (although the report caused me to take my time so my time was short). I figured it had been 3 days including yesterday was fairly warm. I did call the park and the lady said they would have definitely been informed if it had been down several days. Whenever I've called them in the past they've always said everything was running, and were right every time but once....

Seemed to get the bear head on my first 4 rides, horse head more on the 3 after riding Le Catapault. It was running maybe a tiny bit slow but didn't seem that cold yet. By the time I got to Verbolten .. it might be indoors but that building is almost as cold. Finished there with a front row reride. 3 hours, total rides 17.
