RE: Project 2017: InvadR
I was there at the late ride time for pass members yesterday (Saturday) and I echo what others have said. It was pretty awesome. Got there around 9 and rode Apollo's, Verbolten, and Griffon along with a few other flats (Flying Machine, Tradewinds) within an hour. All were walk-ons. No lines whatsoever. It was extremely peaceful in the park, which was phenomenal. By 10:15, we got to Invadr and the line attendant asked for our passes and let us through. There were only maybe 10-15 people there in line. We went on 3 times and then headed out. As a local who goes to the park at least once a week, this was one of the better park experiences I've had. It sort of felt like we owned the park in a way just walking on to rides as we pleased without waiting in any lines. I'm interested in seeing how the rest of these extended ride times for pass members go as far as crowds. With how light the crowds were for it on Saturday, I wonder if this is something the park would even consider doing again in the future. Personally, I loved it, but from a business perspective, I'm not so sure it would benefit the park.
