Am I the only one like extremely interested and excited for what this may become.
Don't knock it til you try it people.

And let me just throw this out there. 99% sure I'm going to get flamed for saying this, but several of you say that Busch must and should go full year. Renovations and stage set-ups like this are not done overnight in a year-round park.

Just chill. Jeez.

I do think the park should go full year, and I expect construction to continue but that type of construction is usually covered by walls of some sort, not just out in the open like this.

Plus, the scaffolding could be something great, but I am only concerned that it won't be something great because of its initial appearance. I still have some hope, just not a lot.

WOW, you guys have so very little faith! I believe the scaffolding is part of the show. And why does the show have to blend with the hamlet? We all have seen the push for more modern style to the park. They have all but done away with "The Old Country", so why would you be surprised at the set for this show. It might be a sign of the times. A "reconstruction" if you will. I think it looks like a Stomp set up, but that's just me. All things must change! I personally can't wait to see what this brings!

I would be fine with it if this is the last year of Illuminights. I just hope they don't deliberately ruin the shows, just to have an excuse to get rid of it. Monster Stomp was a perfect example. They deliberately made its last year only half of what it was previously, so they could say it "wasn't as popular anymore".

I know there's been hope that the scaffolding would be covered. Seeing it farther along, I'm beginning to hope that it isn't. I mean think of it. The theater is supposed to be an old abbey...They are doing "reconstruction of the old structure, few trash cans later, you have Stomp!"

If you haven't caught my drift by now, my money isn't on it, but I'd love for that to be the option the park is going with. With that said, I know structural scaffolding is very sturdy, however, does anyone (probably with a contracting background) know how much wear and tear they can take, say if dancers are constantly moving about and practically tearing the baseboards out with their feet?

I have a feeling that they aren't doing anything closely related to stomp. That is just how the park is, we say something we really like and they do the exact opposite. Perfect example - get rid of Bitten or revamp it majorly.

Either way, I am hoping the show turns out great, I know if they do it right they can, but the park has let me down in the past.

If you don't mind me taking your eyes off Killarney for a moment, stranger things are happening. See the maypole show while you can and I hope you're not afraid of frogs.

So I take it Oktoberfest will be getting a frog show now? Were chickens not popular enough they had to switch to frogs?

I have a feeling we may end up with more than just two shows this year, unless all these things are being complied into one show. Any more clues Zach?

So just to recap: Giant frogs, massive turtles, huge glowing snails, butterflies, and fireflies. That's not even counting Killarney where things are exponentially worse.

One word: Drugs.

I honestly don't know how all of this will come together and I'll reserve my real judgement till I see it, but looking at what the park is planning, it looks bad. Very bad.
