I agree with you 100%, I even remember the concept art images from last year showing a “lost mountain in the distance” or something. I think it’d be smart for the park to lean into its iconic history and bring back a park landmark that all generations of Virginians have fond memories of.I think we will see the mountain return/be rebuilt in some capacity in the next two years. The replacement ride will interact with it in some way.
Instead of the budget being 100% invested into a thrill ride, I’d like to see a majority of the budget go into restoring the atmosphere of the mountain (or maybe even just a big hill) and then the remaining money be spent on surrounding flats/family attraction. I’d rather the area feel a bit more distinguished and unique from the rest of the JungleX-theme than the area be dominated by the latest and greatest coaster.
If the mountain were to come back - seeing the way Tron light cycle interacts with and surrounds the foot paths underneath the canopy - it would be cool if it felt like it’s own enclosed, separate area rather than limit the experience inside/around the mountain to just a queue line.
