well by the time CGA is completely closed which will be likely 5-10 years from now most of their coasters will be really old. so im not so sure if CF is willing to relocate such old rides that may be nearing the end of their service life. And KD will likely be seeing a volcano replacement in like 2-3 years.

Gold striker is 10 right now and Railblazer is 4. Neither are going to be super old or anything. Plus woodies can last forever pretty much.

On the topic of potentially relocating RailBlazer to KD...

Though I'll admit the coaster would be a great/thrilling addition to the park, and also be unique in terms of competing with BGW offerings. I'm not sure if it would make sense to replace Volcano, a ride which suffered with capacity, with another capacity-strained one... where RailBlazer I believe is around 600 riders per hour.

And as RailBlazer's ride duration is fairly short, if it were ever to be located across from Tumbili, I'd hate to think how both coasters would be critized for their duration. (Of course, not that Volcano was a long duration either, at just over a minute.)

So with whatever is eventually built in Volcano's old location, I'd certainly hope that it improves on both of these aspects.

This would be why I think, albeit a hard one, where Gold Striker could be relocated. Both parks have relatively flat land to work with and gold striker Is a long twisty windy layout on a fairly flat plot of land.

Moving Goldstriker here would indeed be amazing, but moving a wooden coaster from one coast to the other seems like it would be pretty expensive to pull off? So I just hope it gets moved or sold to another park, wherever that might be.
The distance isn't the major part but it's the deconstruction and construction. It's a matter of numbering every piece and documenting it. The actual transport would likely be easier than steel since you'd be able to fit a lot more on a truck than just a single section or two.
When's the last time a wooden coaster of that scale was relocated? The only relocation examples I can think of are the historical ones.
I wish RCDB had an easy way to track that. The ones I know of off the top of my head are Phoenix, Wild One, and Skyliner but there are others.... It's more time consuming but I don't know if it's the level of resistance that people make it out to be. It's just more that parks don't generally see value in moving wooden coasters and Cedar Fair is one of them considering they just let Big Dipper get trashed..... Hell, even Villain should have been moved and that was hybrid.

Gold Striker would make sense at Cedar Point if they have he space for it and any other projects they want to do.

What if they placed it right by grizzly, remove the go karts, and put it there or something.

I’m curious.
I might get some hate for this.
We have seen intamin dip their toes back into the inverted launch coaster category again. Could we see KD build another one to replace volcano and give it a jungle theme? If you’re curious, I’m referencing the Intamin Dueling Dragons in China.

The reason I suggest this is because if it’s done right, with the intricate detail of Jungle X, it gives KD back an inverted coaster and says a big middle finger to bgw by making it launch. Plus, we know the significance of volcano and how it blasted you out of a volcano. They could do something similar and do like a small darkride section within a temple and then it blasts you out of the temple into an extensive layout with lots of footchoppers, lots of inversions, a midcourse for capacity, and even a second launch if they wanted it.

While yes I understand that CF/KD would be hesitant to add an Intamin, especially after the issues volcano had, I feel it would be a great addition. The newer intamins seem to have less issues than the older ones.

When wind doesn’t shut them down every 5 minutes.

2-across seating invert is the only type of invert that should replace Volcano. I'm really not a fan of 4-across for inverts. You can't see a damned thing if you aren't in the front row or on the edge, so 2-across like Volcano was or bust. That's not a B&M.
Just talked to one of my friends who works there, it’s not a b and m product whatsoever.
Also from what he knows, either anaconda or grizzly is on the chopping block next.

Considering grizzly has been receiving more love recently (more signage to the ride, ride improvements, etc), I’d be thinking that’s more likely to stay than anaconda. While it doesn’t get a lot of ridership, it’s not because people don’t like it. It’s because most people can’t find the entrance to the ride lmao

Yeah, he also doesn’t have confirmation on this one but he doesn’t think volcano will be replaced by a s and s, i however can still dream of my launched axis
