The production Axis coasters are not launch coasters, right? To me that makes it not a great choice to replace Volcano, but it would be a good ride to add.

An Axis coaster would give KD such a wild lineup honestly. One of the more unusual ride lineups out there for sure.

-No Hyper, BUT a completely INSANE Intamin Giga
-No GCI, BUT a completely INSANE RMC
-No invert, BUT a relocated B&M floorless
-No more modern launch coasters, BUT an indoor launch coaster with theming AND a family launch coaster with theming.
-Just minimal B&Ms in general
-The ONLY Mack Bobsled in the US EVER
-A monkey temple god free spin

Throw an axis in there for the hell of it at this point.

It's so..........weird but I love it.

I've said this before and I'll say it again.... if I had to put money on a model that they'd be getting, it would be an Axis and this is exactly the reason why I'd feel safest with my money there. It's more so that the free spin popped up not very long after the wing coaster was allegedly scrapped. It makes me feel like S&S couldn't get the Axis in their timeframe but they could deliver a free spin so they worked out a twofer.
an axis would be a dumb addition because its to similar to Tumbili.

How so? Free spins are all about the rotation on a horizontal pivot point for vertical flips with no possible lateral forces, Axis can have lateral movements with the horizonal pivot point keeping the cars upright for the most part.

Unless you're meaning from a non-thoosie guest PoV, but even then - paint it a different color, use a different animal for theming, and make it obvious that the track layout has different elements in it and I don't think most people would assume it's the same... Even if they may not call it by the correct name.

Did you not read the second half?

Beyond the idea of a ride car flipping (even that's a stretch given the difference of how the 'flip' appears) there would not likely be enough similarities for most people to assume they're the same thing.

S&S said that the lift hill would provide a very unique experience to the axis and they somewhat recommend it but they will build whatever the customer requests. There's no reason that they couldn't build a launch. TBH I'm kind of torn.... I really want Volcano's replacement to be a launch but I feel like an Axis may be the only coaster type that I feel would be a worthy replacement and not even have to be a launch.

What I really want to see is something we'll never see.... Have S&S take Merlin's Mayhem and supersize it with overbanks and a great launch. I've always wanted an inverted coaster (thrill level) that focused on "foot choppers" and slalom style movements that didn't actually do inversions..... this would be the perfect place for something like that because Merlin's Mayhem is the closest I've ever felt to being on Volcano with the graceful movements that it makes.

Thoughts on an inverted Gerstlauer coaster? I remember watching a Coaster studios video a few weeks ago that mentioned a possible Gerstlauer invert in the Netherlands. I didn’t even know they made an inverted model. If it were to be Gerstlauer, I’m definitely hoping for an infinity or invert over the euro fighter.

They don't AFAIK.... this was purely a concept that they'll build if ordered.

I'd ride that. Looks fun. Doesn't seem to have any inversions, which is a bit odd given that it has a 90º lift. It's not exactly a family invert, but then it is after that.

Y’all I really wanna see a gerstlauer Infinity for the replacement but on Karen/Fury level somethings unique/unexpected in the layout especially in the states and it could break the 200 ft barrier just want it to be as unique as volcano was.

I would like to see an RES Roller Ball, possibly themed to a volcano, but I know we are likely not getting one since it looks similar to Tumbili and that will confuse non-enthusiasts.
