RE: Hurler Closed for 2016

If kings dominion was pulling out an RMC (or anything else substantial)the one thing that gets me is why would they not announce it at their big #kd2017 announcement. This makes me doubt anything big that would come for 2017 because they killed off their own hype by disappointing 95 percent of their customers.

But the sentence didn't say "There's More To Come," it said "There's Really More Coming!" That doesn't hint at any additional attractions being announced for 2017. It's just saying that the park is adding more attractions to their lineup and more perks for their guests.

I'm not saying something else absolutely won't be announced, but that sentence doesn't hint an additional announcement.

It would help if some folks would stop putting my comments or the park's comments under an electron microscope for scrutiny. I was using the Carowinds 2015 announcement, for the 2016 season, as an example where a park announced another attraction after the main draw was revealed to the media/public. Anything that I listed above could very well be added without another "Formal" PR event.

I agree.

The onus is on the writer, if they do not want to be scrutinized it would help if they were more thoughtful. Consider using citations and clear references.  Punctuate their arguments by demonstrating how they derived certain statistics, and data.  Finally not mixing their personal desires and wishes with the public at large.  Be more critical, clinical, and objective.

Not sure if this is new or was posted in the past..

Some of the best thrills the world has to offer are at Kings Dominion. There's also Dominator, Grizzly, Anaconda, Volcano, Drop Tower, Rebel Yell. The thrills never seem to end at Kings Dominion!

*Hurler is closed for the season while we complete extensive maintenance on the ride. We anticipate the ride will reopen next season.

That's been there since March.

Define Extensive...

It seems like if it were going to be "extensive" there would be a lot more happening by now instead of it just sitting there all season, especially if it's planning on being re-opened for 2017. But hey, what do I know.

Do you have proof it's from Hurler?
Well I took the photo myself earlier today. I don't have any reason to photoshop it or lie.

Some more markers. These markers are visible on the turn into the lift, first turn, 2 airtime hills, and the turnaround by grizzly. Also numbers painted in red visible from grizzly's lift.

Some things I saw by hurler today...
Edit- I'm new here, can I upload more than one photo?

You are welcome to post as many pics as you want, as long as you provide some text explaining what they are to make them searchable.

Can anybody else support these photos? I'm not saying they are false, the picture just shows a bunch of wood. I would also care to know how you were able to see markers on those 2 airtime hills as the ride is almost secluded from eyesight.
Im talking about the two hills close to the club blood facade. Im pretty sure they are airtime hill but I could be wrong. It's the footers that are marked, not the wood. And if you don't believe me I guess you'll just have to visit the park tomorrow.

Thanks for the pictures! I believe these are new. Let us know, if you see anything else!

RE: Hurler Closed for 2016

I can confirm the markers on the footer supports but I am not sure if they are new or not as they don't really stick out much so they could have been missed for a while. I haven't found anything else which is NOT to say there is not something else just that I don't see it's possible that I am miss understanding what and where to look or just not seeing it as I don't have the best distance vision in the world.

RE: Hurler Closed for 2016

Coasterfan3, where did you find that survey marker as seen in your first image?
