RE: Hurler Closed for 2016

Just curious, but if they do an RMC conversion on it, how long realistically would it take?  I mean given that the winter here can be harsh, working through winter into early spring, would it be possible to complete a renovation without advising the public?  I know it's probably not the norm to not make announcements, but could it be a possibility (as far fetched as it may seem?)

Not very long. It's not exactly a B&M project. Six Flags is able to do it within a few months.

RE: Hurler Closed for 2016

From my own perspective, based on being at the presentation at KD that morning, I don't see anyone riding Hurler in 2017.

There has been much raving about what the last slide in the presentation meant by "There's more to come". This causes some folks to fixate on Hurler being reincarnated in some form for 2017. But, I wonder if that is pointing to something else.

Example, last year when Carowinds announced Carolina Harbor for 2016, they gave out a tease concerning the "Plants vs. Zombies" attraction. But, CW park officials stated that announcement would come later in the fall (to groans by those attending the event). Could it be that KD will get a dark attraction, theme TBD, in one of the Action Theaters? That possibility sits at the top of my list for a "bonus" 2017 attraction.

"More to Come" could mean that the park finishes the Carousel Restoration (maybe get the band organ restored and playing). This could mean refreshing the area around the Carousel by brick pavers in the pathways, etc.

There could be a small possibility of another flat ride being added to CAG. Nothing that would be considered "front page news" for 2017. Could it be a refurbished Enterprise (Valley Fair's?).

"More to Come" could simply mean new entertainment, new or expanded special events, or a concert series for 2017.

But the sentence didn't say "There's More To Come," it said "There's Really More Coming!" That doesn't hint at any additional attractions being announced for 2017. It's just saying that the park is adding more attractions to their lineup and more perks for their guests.

I'm not saying something else absolutely won't be announced, but that sentence doesn't hint an additional announcement.

They both mean the same exact thing, except "Really More Coming" is a very interesting formation of the words.

They really don't. Sentences that suggest an additional announcement sound closer to "Stay Tuned," "(And) There's more to come," or "But that's not all." Again, I'm not saying something else absolutely won't be announced, but I would not expect anything else.

They could be referring to 2018. That's what is coming to me. This is all to get attention for 2018. I can see the second announcement being for the demolition of Hurler.

How would a simple sentance at the end of a Planet Snoopy announcement even come close to referring to 2018?

Not directly but the fact that they drastically saved their budget and the dubious outlook on Hurler...

Words have meaning?

Wait, they did? Are you sure of that? I would love to know what source you have that gave you their annual capital investment budget. Further they are permitted to bank those dollars from year to year? Would you mind showing us the corporate memo that allows for that somewhat unusual process.

Refill My Coke?

I'm curious about what everyone's thought about the "Really More Coming" tagline is. Do you all think it's merely a coincidence that it spells out RMC, or did the park intentionally it? Mind you, they could have created the acronym just to mess with our heads, but it would still be intentional.

So which do you think it is... weird coincidence or devilish purposefulness ?
