Jack is an icon. I'm surprised the park even put his name up to vote. Of course everyone is gonna want him back much like the haunted train ride and Monster Stomp. You get rid of it long enough and people are gonna it back.

As for letting the under 13 crowd in, the park gets heavy enough crowds during the day that it wouldn't really be feasible anymore to just close the park. Especially later in the season on those Saturdays where the park hits 35,000+ before haunt starts.

Parks like Uni and BGT have always gone the hard ticket route so daytime crowds are relatively low.

I remember seeing the trickster briefly on a picture frame of all things lol. So i would be interested to see what his story is. It sounds like a good line up so far.

Someone else had a good point about how there are no identifying documents or IDs at that age, so how would enforcing such a ban even work? Just park employees walking up to people who they thought looked too young, asking them their age and taking their word for it? Doesn't seem very practical.

That said, I do wish the park would use stronger language when warning parents of young children that the event is not family friendly.

The same way they enforce it in movie theaters.

How is it enforced in movie theaters? I honestly don't know. I mean, I know that it doesn't matter if you are underage as long as you are with an adult, but I don't think that's what you're proposing for Busch?

At any rate, I'm not just talking about about somehow stopping under-13 at the gate- I'm talking about how to deal with getting under-13 who are already in the park out. Are you proposing some sort of checkpoint? I think the idea of emptying the park entirely and requiring reentry would be a logistical nightmare and make a lot of people very, very unhappy. To me, definitely not worth it to have my whole day interrupted just to keep kids out- and I still feel 13 is way too high a threshold, even if you were to impose a hard age restriction.
Just as a quick note I worked at a movie theater over the summer. For big R rated movies such as Ted 2 or Vacation, ushers that were over 18 were required to ID everyone who looked younger than 17, I'm pretty sure I ID'd someone that was 25 but he looked really young. You'd be surprised on how many people we stopped and had to make them get refunds to leave the theater.
But to be on topic, I think Scarlett's Revenge sounds interesting and the fact that they are bringing back Iconic HOS characters that essentially weren't used as scares, Jack and the Lady of the Gardens. I think it will be interesting to see them in a haunted house environment and not in a dance party.

I go to Kings Dominions haunt every year and they seem to do a really good job keeping younger kids out and especially strollers. How do you think they do it? Luck?

if what i am hearing is true, they really push that it isnt a kid friendly place after dark. They are really more into the scare aspect of the event. So maybe better marketing, and/or word of mouth?

Count me as one that is super excited for Jack, sorry y'all. I totally get what some of y'all are saying that he doesn't really lend himself to a scary haunted house- that's definitely true IMO- but my nostalgia is kicking in.

Anyone else feel like this is not the direction they expected for the house, especially given that big-name guy who helped design it? Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled with the concept, I just think it sounds more fun/campy than actually scary.

Also I'm completely with you. I never saw the whole show he did or whatever, I just liked Jack. Also I liked having real pumpkins all over the place in Ireland.

I guess it all depends on what props you want to see recycled as far as the characters. Some of those characters would probably mean the return of entire rooms from 13:Your Number's Up. Aside from a few characters that may actually be scary, I don't have a warm and fuzzy feeling about this.

On the flip side, Tampa has a similar poll on their Facebook page. It includes Death Jockey, The Raven Twins, and Trickster. The Raven Twins are winning in Tampa at the moment.

I dont know much about the HOS's of old but i can say i wasnt a fan of 13. But im hoping that this proves me wrong. I was excited to see they were putting in a whole new house at that site but with the info im reading on here and other sources im not too convinced that they will showcase the four winners with hints from all the others as well. I really hope we get to see some of the ones that come from Tampa in Williamsburg. I dont normally get to tampa to see them so it would be cool to have them at BGW. BTW does anyone know whos winning?

Well this depends on who wins the poll and if the park plans to put more than the 4 characters and Scarlett in the house. Based off of the current front-runners that bgbackdoor posted, 13 doesn't really have specific rooms that would stay untouched from how they were in 13: Your number's up. Now if say the clown were to win or the park plans to incorporate him anyway, we may see that whole room recycled from 13. But right now, with the characters that are winning we may not see any rooms or many props recycled from 13(which is what I am hoping for).
