I like the unearthed logo and stuff they are bringing out but she has by far been my favorite one

I love how in the AURA video, she says all signs point to a mausoleum or burial structure, then she says it's a house. Maybe that's the theme of the new house right there?

The mentioned it being made of some sort of deteriorated wood. Wendigo Woods house perhaps?

Just got caught up on all the latest Howl-o-Scream news and I am so excited!

Okay things I am pumped about and not so pumped about:

Pumped About-
-the viral marketing campaign for this year's event
-a new theme (Cursed was fine but would have felt stale this year)
-a new house (OBVIOUSLY)
-the possibility of the train returning (though I am skeptical)
-the fact that there are no new shows (not that I wouldn't have been excited about a new one, just glad that isn't the focus this year)
-the park staying open until 11 on some Fridays

Things I am not as excited about-
-no new Terror-Tories
-particularly the fact that it doesn't look like Port of Skulls is being replaced with a clown area, which I was REALLY hoping for because of Tempesto
-Fright Feast getting cut (I never got a chance to go, so sad)
-the fact that the event starts late this year

Overall I say the good outweighs the bad and I think if they add in a little more new stuff (beyond just one new house and an otherwise mostly unchanged event) this could be a big year for the park.

Anyone else care to share their pros and cons lists?

In regards to Fright Feast; I am a little disappointed, but not surprised. I enjoyed it, but in spite of the improvements, I don't think it was enough. The food was better, but still not as good as Blood Banquet, even though Blood Banquet was down-graded in food.

I thought the show was much better, but to be honest I have never really been a fan of that type of dinner theatre. That's saying quite a bit, because while I don't like to stare at anyone, it was hard not to at least notice the attractive nurses. I preferred Blood Banquet in that category, just because I could choose to ignore the show during the "cringe-worth" parts.

That being said, I was able to talk with the heads of both responsible departments during Fright Feast. I even spoke with Scott, and told him "This is probably the best thing you have done in this venue since the show, Secrets of Castle O'Sullivan." He didn't really seem to be that flattered, for what it's worth. He just said "Yeah, we have had a lot of things in here over the years."

Next, I talked to Franz Kitenko, the vice President of the culinary department. He actually seemed genuinely really interested in hearing feedback. He said he didn't get that often. I told him how I thought that Fright Feast had improved significantly food-wise. I also told him about how I was disappointed that Blood Banquet did not return the lamb stew. He told me he was surprised about the reaction to the lamb stew. He thought that since lamb stew is a very acquired taste, that people might prefer the schnitzel sandwiches, which were popular during the Food and Wine Festival. He said "Lamb is a very earthy tasting meet. People usually either love it or hate it."

Overall, between Franz and Chef Paul, I think they will have a good balance of food this year. Both of them seem to actively listen to guest feedback.

These are on my con list as well.

Other cons include:
- Root being removed
- The constant going back to the "Haunted train" will it or won't it. (I don't want it back, as I've mentioned before.)
- Working at Party City, because I don't have the time to go to HoS like I would otherwise. ): I love Halloween season, but I hate working it.

Some pros:
- 13 IS GONE.
- Getting a new nurse shirt. I hope they're good this year.
- I like the marketing strategy they got going on.

That's pretty much it as far as all information provided up to today goes.

Got me real exited there, my birthday is November 14, and I've always wanted to go to BG on my birthday. Maybe one year ;-P

Here's my pros/cons list, though the pros are more personal if anything.
Pros:
-finally getting the chance to enjoy HoS as a whole
-finally being 21 at a haunt event
-NEW HOUSE. I wasn't quite as excited about it until I read Zachary's post.
-Early marketing that's easy for the GP to grasp, unlike last year.
Cons:
-I know every single scare position in two of the houses and the bf knows all the ones in Catacombs, so I won't be bothered to see those if the line is any more than 10 mins long :/ which leaves me with very little to do and I usually scare easily but I expect to be disappointed.
-Cutthroat Cove & POS coming back :x
-Fiends, and no Fright Feast to spice it up. I hated the 2014 version so much. The differences were subtle but, believe me I noticed. I feel like they really dumbed it down from the 2012 version which I couldn't believe was possible. I hope the doctor's got some better jokes this year. (I didn't see the 2013 version, by the way, but from what I heard it was just terrible)

My pros and cons:

Finally getting to go back to HOS
A new house, new things are always good
I am really feeling the new marketing stuff

Now for the Cons
I was looking forward to going to see fright feast since we seen blood banquet last time. But alas its no more :(
Im not a fan of the pirates and would have loved to see something new in that place but it remains.
I would have loved to see them change france into something scary instead of a rave in a tight spot.
I've complained enough lol!

I'm gonna say the fact that it starts late is a pro for me because I'm PRAYING that means HOS will get the TLC it deserves, and the actors are fully trained (because they weren't last year!)

Ahhhhh! November 16th is my due date! Perhaps if I'm overdue, I can walk around the park and get this boy scared out of me. Also, both the general BGW site and HOS site have been down for me all day... anyone else?

If you watched 2014 version, then you saw 2013's. The only real difference was the Doctor had more of a disappointed dad look to him. (It wasn't the same actor.)

November 16 was a mistake. They are only open till November 1.

"Who buries a house?"

I was hoping Busch Gardens might bury Bitten.

But as for there being no new Territories, I would wait to see about that being the case. I would be surprised if we didn't see a new one to go with one of the new houses or the Unearthed theme.

Of course :p Thanks! I went to the park yesterday and tried my darnedest to see if anything is going on behind Bitten. Couldn't get back far enough, grrrr.

Bitten is very different from the other mazes. Unlike many of the mazes, which are easy to set up/take down in segments, Bitten is more permanent. The same thing goes for Deadline. I can't say that I blame the park for being hesitant to destroy expensive set pieces that they can't simply take apart

Apparently in the aura investigation, they have uncovered the house which was bored up with wood and rail road spikes (interesting) and as they went in with video they lost signal!, any ideas of what this house will be themed to?

I think it is really amazing how they are able to cover all three parks on that website. If you read it, it almost sounds like they're talking specifically about Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
