For David & his app:

Great, thanks! These are now in the app, and you will see them once I push this next update.

The only ones left are Blood Banquet and Innoculation Station! (I put the normal menu in for Buccaneer Gallery, let me know if it's any different and I will update that also)

Yes, haven't seen an actual menu for BB yet. Haven't been inside. Inoc. Station was available, but I felt really weird trying to get into position for a good shot with two naughty nurses and a crowd looking on. I imagine it looked like I was trying to snap something else.

oh wow, the strobes in Cut Throat Cove are annoying. I had to look away from the video and fast forward because my eyes were hurting. The rest look great for something quickly put together!

Funny you should say that - I was just telling Pretzel that I was reading the work of a Disney blogger last night, and one sentence in particular made me think of the debates here:

Past the perfect quote from that article to place here, well done! WDWm has a large discussion about that on that topic going. Pushing the ones who know and understand the product out to gain new who will accept a lower product for the same and/or higher price.

Wish I could +thanks that one twice.

phone froze uo while trying to post my quick observations. Lets hope this doesn't happen again. So I attended HOS this weekend it was fun.

What I really liked.
Actors were on their A game for opening weekend. Theming is really good in some places. I actually kinda like early HOS music because it amps me up for the event. Night Beats and Dig it Up were fantastic as usual. Satan makes an awesome DJ

What could use tweaking.
Ports of Skull needs to be expanded. All of Festa needs the Holiday Hills treatment. Cutthroat Cove and Root both felt way understaffed for a Saturday. Deadline needs more lighting - running into walls and bumping into the people in front of you is no fun. Also I was wondering what happened to all the fog machines. I recall there being a lot more last year.

Overall, opening weekend exceeded my expectations. I'll post full reviews of all the mazes and scare zones when I get the chance after I do Bitten and 13

I am sure the event will be great. Why do people keep saying it wasn't busy when the park put on Facebook that the parking lot was filled to capacity?
Oops, my bad. I must have missed the posts about it being busy.

Ok after much needed not sleeping, here's my HOWLOSCREAM update from yesterday.

Watched Fiends at 4pm, felt bad for Igor's mic going out at beginning, but he played it off very well. Good job techs for getting him a new one ASAP. I liked it but they had the music way to high on the bass level. I've never seen FIENDS here at BGW only seen it at BGT and the pop parody jokes worked well here too. Loved the vampire guys voice it was smoothing. The lead seemed to try too hard off tune a LIL. The nurses who doesn't love naughty nurses, they are just eye candy kinda, same as Sir Speedo man.

I really enjoyed DEMON STREET, the DJ pumped up the crowd and was suggesting drinks and such, which worked the bar was packed, and I love it that my girl that use to work in DAS FEST HAUS is now demon street drinks. Everyone was enjoying it day and night. I really liked the night time HELLISH feeling, it was like France was a blaze, and the scares were there and got me twice, thanks demons.

Pirate point seemed a little more childish to me, but I like it should of spend more time around but it was a rush hour traffic jam of guests going over the bridges. CTC was ok I didn't have hardly any scares, was like no one in there but it's only first week same as for ROAE. Those dangling white I guess ship mast things, could use less felt like I was in the JCPenny white sail. The strobe light was too much, I actually had to sit down afterwards gave me a migraine. However I like the Pirates area.

Blood Banquet was good and worth it, I love the atmosphere, and I love that the blonde hair girl from KK and Killarney village band is part of the act. I love hearing her play the violin.

Ok so I did all haunted houses but 13, line too long. In order of scares I ll go from fave to not so much fave: DEADLINE, CATACOMBS, ROAE, BITTEN only reason BITTEN was last not enough scares and watched a group of actors flirt with my friend.

Ripper Row is creepy at night but a lot of people cluster lagging around or just in the way.

So I enjoyed it and so did my friends, can't see how it gets better each week!

So that's my 2 cents I guess, but hope seeing you all post about it!

I went to Deadline and 13: Your Number's Up tonight and both were not as startling as years past, I would venture to say Deadline was understaffed; however, they were both pretty decent and there were a few scares to be had at each.

Also to note, I noticed that on my way out I stopped by Adventure Photo. I was watching the example pictures and saw that there was a picture with the Illuminights frog in the background with a sign stating Illuminights, but it had a Howl-o-Scream border. Also, I saw two others similar with the fountain and lights in the background. Finally, I saw one border had Tampa's Garden Key and Garden Character on it.

A word about Ripper Row and the "kidnappings"...

On Friday evening we watched the street show for about 15 minutes and saw about 5 different kidnappings. Today, there were some tables added in a few spots so we watched the festivities for about an hour. Not a single kidnapping. Found a "stage manager" and she explained to me that they put a stop to them after Friday's debacle. She went on to explain that not only did the growing crowds become a problem, but somebody actually got hurt. The young lady/tm who was in "street" clothes apparently suffered a fall or something and had to get medical attention. Also, there were a number of guests that either took it a bit serious or overreacted to the show and caused problems. Then, best of all, the parks own security got involved because they couldn't tell or were unaware that these "kidnappings" were real or not (even though she could be identified with an orange bracelet on her arm). A decision was made that this part of the street show was not going to work and they have been cancelled for the event. That being said, the other performers are superb at what they do. I particularly enjoyed the "head madam" in purple. She is so funny!

I would like to say that CK called this almost a month ago. Just sayin'...

I can see how the growing crowds and injury could be considered an issue. However, there is no excuse for Security issue, because had Entertainment clarified the situation with Security before the event started, there should have been no confusion. Also, guest overreacting happens. What exactly did they do that made it an issue? Go to team members for assistance?
