This ad hominem attack is really just unnecessarily insulting. People have different opinions, and it has nothing to do with standards of quality.

I have been trying not to say this, because everyone will be so offended, but I don't like any of the shows in the park, and I never have. When I was in grade school and taking ballet and character dancing and my parents dragged me into the Festhaus, I didn't like the show. All I see are the technical mistakes the dancers are making. I look at pictures of the dancers and I cringe. I heard the dialogue, and I cringe. And honestly some of the singers shouldn't.

But that doesn't mean I have higher standards than everyone else. It just means I like different things.

Just because you have found things to criticize doesn't make your opinion better or your tastes more refined. And it certainly doesn't give you justification for feeling superior to everyone who disagrees with you.

OK, rant over. And I apologize to all of the very hard working performers in advance. Although this may prove those who see me as some park cheerleader wrong. I just believe that nothing is gained by publicly criticizing other people, unless they are being intentionally rude or mean.

It should not insult anyone except those who have moved themselves place via complacency. Breathe in. Breathe out.

It's not complacency for some of us who weren't there for the old days. I have only been going to the park since April 2012. I think this old man mentality is ruining progress, "Get off my old country with your damn fun you whippersnappers". Is it such a terrible thing that people enjoy themselves? I don't want the Old Country, because it's old. It will never be back. Live with it or stay home.

I am not going after anyone here. I am not old by any means either, so that assumption is invalid. You are paying a premium price for what should be a premium product and it is not. By your logic you are fine with paying premium dollar for less than mediocre product.

What assumption shall come next?

Quality is subjective. Just because it is mediocre in your opinion, just not mean everyone feels that way. And once again, it also doesn't mean you have higher standards than everyone else. Different is not better or worse.

It's not a terrible thing for people to enjoy themselves, I understand that you haven't experienced previous events so you don't know what the park is capable of and nobody can fault you for that. Let me tell you that the level of theming for the territories are worse than the park used to be years ago.

What is terrible is not wanting the park to be all it can be.

Years before? Even last year after the first weekend. This makes the last three years of HoS look like the perfect event. That is not overly subjective.

In my busy periods the past few months I have forgotten how worked up some get over message boars. Popcorn.

I never called you old, I said "Old man mentality", as in you are thinking like an old man. And you are going after people, by saying that those you enjoy it are complacent and, basically, wrong. I enjoy paying for something I enjoy, and that my family enjoys. We don't have to like the same things, and neither one of us are wrong for that. People are not "bottom feeders" because they enjoy something you don't. That's just a sad, to me, that you think people are almost less than human because of their opinion about a (expletive) theme park. I guess in your mind, there is nothing worse in this world. Priorities. I hate to see what you think of really bad people.

Completely missed this part until Pretzel pointed it out to me. I have a million other things to get done today outside of here. I understand your viewpoint and stance now. You do not really know any different of what the park is capable of to even 2011 which is recent and "olden days." So do not take my posts in an offensive manner but read them as something that knows what the park is capable of and even what the event this year WAS supposed to be.

If they move through life gaining positions through complacency then yes they are. I never stated that those who enjoy it are bottom feeders. Inferring that is making a line a mile long with can of PlayDoh.

I get that, but, there is still no reason to criticize the fans, criticize the park.

At the end of the day fans hold the key to success. If fans will pay the same or more for the a lesser product then it enables further diminishing of quality. Stating that "it is just your opinion" is kinda negated buy the massive hurt for business and attendance BGW is experiencing.

See Disney World. The place has gone downhill like an 8yo on a 100 foot hill snow sledding. Or Clark Griswold with his saucer.

As a point if clarification, I am in no way "worked up." I have real issues in the real world to expend my emotional energy on. This is a distraction.

Edit: unlike Cody, I have been going to the park since the 1970s, and I still find your posts dismissive and condescending.

Some pirate theming. Same buffet.
Pirate sign.
Pirate Baaaaaarrrggh. There is a little rum on those mixed drinks.
Open Casket.
Demon Street menu theming.
Some kind of pumpkin flavored thing added.
??
Fright Feast.
Sangria everywhere!!

You need to get to one of those special eating places and get a review up. That is something I wish I would have done. The menus looked good.

I agree with almost everyone's views and opinions. But everyone has a different opinion, no reason to keep bashing eachother for it. No matter what it is, everyone isn't going to be satisfied.

Swift had a topic of conditioning to lower standards recently. HoS is the perfect application of it.

I feel like I'm posting on a Disney forum with all the emotions.

Don't like what I say? Too big for some to grasp? Swift and Gavin implanted an ignore button just for that/this reason.

Easy there, if you are not satisfied with everything at face value then you are condescending.

A QUICK word on Quick Queue Passes for HOS mazes (see what I did there?)...

Like last year, they are individually-priced at $10.00 on Saturdays, discounted to $5.00 on Fridays & Sundays. The only time I found it worth doing for me was at night with a 30-120 minute ROAE line.

Ditto here. I guess the Fiend Feast prices are different because BGW assume people will start going to the haunted houses around 6pm.

And now for the one I have been holding on to. I absolutely love this picture! Yes, I know it could be better. I will try again. There was a better angle but people were shuffling around and my camera was almost out of juice.
