Interestingly, they updated the page sometime between when you posted this and now, because there aren’t any houses there currently.
I think a new werewolf house sounds awesome. Surprisingly underdone theme in theme park haunts, and hard to screw up.

It's an upgrade from Clown Town and Monster Manor at least. I honestly don't think it's that bad of a name. We've seen a handful of mazes in the past haven't had super creative names
What year was peak HOS? Since moving to the area and joining this forum in 2019 I’ve seen people complain about what they see is a downward trajectory of the event.
Seems to be every Thursday they are announcing stuff. Next week will likely be the last announcement.
Probably the late 2000s. From 2007 to about 2009 the event had a ton going for it.
After that period, I'd probably agree with @Aidansn07 that the early/mid era (2013 to 2015-ish) was also pretty compelling with the original launch of Terrortories (even if they never took the concept as far as originally planned) and some pretty strong houses.
I have a lot of nostalgia for earlier 2000s Howl-O-Scream with the incredible scale of the dressing of the park, the campier tone, and more European themes. That said, I'm happy to admit that house quality really didn't pick up dramatically until the mid-to-late 2000s when budgets clearly increased dramatically.

Y’all correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t we less than a month out? I’m not sure if they’re trying to avoid cannibalizing Bier Fest sales or what, but it really seems like they’ve done very little in-park or even regional advertising for HoS yet. The Reaper isn’t even out front holding his sign. Just seems… unusual.
I think it normally gets placed the end of August. Like 2 weeks HOS before I believe.

The rumors I've heard say Monster Manor and Lost Mines are the two houses being replaced this year. Could be outdated info, but the Monster Manor rumor panned out so take that as you will.

Refresh my memory but where were the houses last year? I know the old Battle for Eire building was Killarny Dinner, the Festhaus parking lot was the Clown one.
Oh yeah I totally forgot the area by Roman Rapids, the area under Escape from Pompei and the Black Forest area.
Yeah Killarny was nice but I think its story is over now. I wouldn't mind a new house there.
It was out of their hands per rumors. Remind me after the event starts and I can say more. Just want to see for myself how visible things are first.
