Shit, this is becoming super cool! "Werewolf Reserve" was a scare zone back in 2007; even the sign they used was almost identical.

Apologies for the double post but, it's been kinda bugging me for a little while now, and the closer we get to open The more worried I get about it.

its about the Fiends nurses in Vault. We all know they're going to be there. They were kinda the big point of why people saw the show. I'm highkey worried that the park isn't going to anything, beyond their standard, to protect them. Again, these nurses aren't scary. Personal opinions aside on how anyone feels about them, but they aren't scary on the level the houses need to be at.

As discussed prior actors in the houses often get touched or grabbed, whether it's on purpose or on accident. I don't trust that all guests will 100% keep their hands to themselves. I know the drink nurses were harassed often, and that was out in the open. What are they going to do to prevent the nurses in the houses from becoming extremely easy targets? Where it's a confined and dark space. Not to mention if/when it does happen, and they get harassed how are they supposed to do their jobs scaring guests, if they're worried somebody will attempt to touch them. I'm sure the women cast as the nurses are all aware of their costumes and the content of the show. How are they supposed to scare and act like the nurses from the show if some random person touches them. It's easier to brush off being touched when you're wearing more clothing. It's easier to be dismissive of the act. But the nurses? We're all aware of how much clothing they're actually wearing. And it's going to be a lot harder to brush it off and keep going if somebody 'accidentally' touches your exposed thigh.

And to be clear, it's not that I'm not worried about the other actors in houses and on pathways from getting harassed. It really is a big issue. The issue I'm having is, is because of the way they're dressed, unless these women are basically cage dancers (where touching them becomes obvious that the guest reached in to grab/touch them) or are on Jack's platform in Vault, I don't trust the park to have the right protection for them. Having a security guard placed every so often likely isn't going to cut it, unless theres a security guard in every room there's a nurse in. Which without knowing how many nurses there are in the house or how many rooms they're in, that could end up being a lot of security.

If the park was smart (which... I mean...), they would put the nurses in a place where they distract guests while being far enough away to not be within touching range of the guests.

If there's a "lab" set, you could put them behind furniture. On the other side of the path there is a hiding place for scare actors to hide and get those who are being distracted.

I actually don't know of this promotion being offered before. I know I've seen "Buy a Fall Fun Card and get the rest of the summer for free" and "Buy a AP/Membership and get Howl-O-Scream for free" but I don't think I've ever seen this (particularly insane IMHO) combination before.

Historically, Howl-O-Scream has been one of the primary selling points of getting a season long pass instead of a Fun Card. I know of many people who ONLY opt for the season long pass for HOS. This combination is an absurd deal for anyone who can take advantage of it, but it also seems to be a huge new devaluation of Howl-O-Scream...

I would contribute to that discussion, but it is one for a different thread. In the meantime, I'm psyched to get sp00ky in a few weeks.

Catch you all the weekend of October 11th

It amazes me that the park is able to even find people willing to work as drink nurses (and that no harassment lawsuits have resulted). I agree that they should be away from the guests, but I’m also saddened that we live in a society where this is even necessary.

without going into too much detail, a new security measure is being implemented into the vault where two characters are going to roam around throughout the night to keep an eye out for any possible issues that may arise due to guests. hopefully, if anything, this will help lower the issues the nurses may face from drunken, ignorant guests.

also, @Pretzel Kaiser, there is something akin to the lines of your thinking going on as well. so, the props may actually serve as protection from guests.

In regards to the Fun Card promotion (you can move this to whichever thread) it may diminish the HoS value but it might be for a few reasons -
1. Advance HoS tickets might be below projections (BGT has no special offers).
2. They lock in more valuable (to BGW) season tickets for 2020. These are better because (A) no free parking, food discounts, etc. and (2) doesn't include '19 Christmas Town... which I'd guess potential buyers will miss and (3) No 2020 HoS or ChristmasTown.

So anyone that was on the Membership fence at the beginning of the year might jump for the $100 thinking it's a great deal...

On an aside - I find it weird that there's not even a hint of Pantheon in any of the push for these. (And don't give me that crap they're holding back for some later marketing).
