Wondering if anyone here has any info about what happened in Deadline last night (Sunday 10/23). Went by around 9:15 and it was closed. A couple staff standing guard at the entrance; we asked if it would re-open before park closing and they said "very small chance." Curious, we then asked if something was broken in the house and all they offered was a curt "no." There were a bunch of security officers at the exit and in the walkway from there back towards the house.

Got to Deadline around 9:00-9:20 as well and was told it was closed. Some dude came out of nowhere and asked the employee "Where is the nearest maze then?", the Deadline employee responded "Circo Sinistro in Italy" and the guy responded "I just left there that was shut down too". Have no idea if that guy was lying or not.. But Deadline was shut down like after 9:00PM last night.

When that rude guy walked away I politely asked the employee why was Deadline shut down and he said "due to technical difficulties", but I noticed around 4-5 police officers / security guards by the lockers / main entrance of Pompeii so not really sure what happened or if the Deadline employee told me the truth.

If memory serves, the last time I was in a maze in the bottom area of Pompeii's building it was SUPER dark in one section. Like even for a haunted house. Absolute black. And people had to reach out and feel for a railing. When I got hold of the railing I slid my foot beneath it and felt the floor drop off.

I'm not saying someone fell to their death in there and will forever after be a soul doomed to wander the corridors of Escape from Pompeii, I'm just saying there are worse places you could be trapped for all eternity. Like Europe in the Air.

I heard from one source that a guest sprayed the entire maze (Deadline) with pepper spray while walking through and another source told me that the toilet room was spraying too much water and flooded that area of the maze a bit. Also, Circo Sinistro was on full operation all night last night.

Went to the park Sunday and the crowd was ok, a lot better to handle with a QQ. This was my 2nd visit for Howl-O-Scream and compared to opening weekend, I saw a lot of improvement. Circo was really under staffed which of course hurt the house. So much potential with the standing figures. I also noticed Corned was low on staffing.
I was pleased with Fiends. They always seem to make changes as the season goes that just fit.

I saw security and JCCPD heading that way in a hurry as I was going into the pak which was probably around 7 or 730. It did reopen later. I will try and find out more.

That's outrageous (about the pepper spray)... hopefully appropriate arrest(s) were made if that was the actual scenario. If the toilet room was messing up then that's a different story but weird about security/JCCPD

That's absolutely horrifying. I tried to find a gif to convey how terrified I am watching those little things sing and dance but... there IS no gif for that level of terror.
