As much as I think the bridge is very well themed for the work they had to do it get it that way; This is a very confusing message to the GP.
For those who know absolutely nothing about Howl-o-Scream and the rumors, you might think either Oktoberfest or Italy is going to be rethemed to pirates. I honestly think they should have stuck with the Dark Side of the Gardens themed bridge. It makes it perfectly clear it is about Howl-o-Scream, also if one house gets a bridge in an almost entirely different country, then why not give Deadline the New France bridge? And Bitten, Grimm's Landung?
But like I said, I think the decor is right on spot as far as going for a pirate theme.

You know BGW is infamous for ripping off Disney's ideas
Current Disney references:
- Europe in the Air - Soarin'
- Food & Wine Festival - Epcot?
- Pirate themed house - Pirates of the Caribbean
Anything else?
EDIT: On the bright side if Disney were to buy the park, they could keep these things and bring them up to Disney level

Before we jump off the Disney cliff, acknowledge that they have their own issues to fix with their own parks before they'll even consider buying another park with its own set of issues.

Sigh. We've had this debate about BGW copying Disney's ideas many times. All parks try to learn from each other. Even Disney went to BGW for inspiration with EPCOT. They also went to BGT to get inspiration for Animal Kingdom. Anyway, I just want to get back on topic. I do wonder if they'll use Disney's music though. That's a whole different matter. I will be interested to hear if there are any copyright lawsuits. They should just get their resident composer, Gary Lensenmayer, to put together a few tunes. He is always called for things like this, because he can produce a song of any genre at the drop of a hat. Seeing that they're on a tight schedule, that would be ideal.
P.S. The park is notorious for throwing together music at last minute, while Tampa writes a whole book of tracks to be used far in advance. Come on BGW! Show us what you got!

Honestly I can't wait for Howl-O-Scream this year. I think I might be almost alone in my optimism though. I just hope I won't be too let down.

^True. I like not knowing but I can't help searching for every last detail. It's part of the experience for me. It wouldn't be the same if I knew only as much as normal people should.

I have a lot of optimism about HOS!! I am really looking forward to it. I am hoping that they look at the mess that they made with Illuminights and try harder, MUCH harder! I am excited about the Pirates!! Love me some Capt. Jack.. (YES I know he is a Disney character BUT he is what made me love the POTC movies). So, I KNOW we don't want to get all excited just for another let down.. (I wasn't all that let down about the park except for the turtle, the snail, and the frog.)BUT I am looking forward to screaming, jumping, and dodging these people to make their day. Cause all in all the performers work their BUTTS off to make it the best that they can. And that's what matters to me.. Just be optimistic about it... cause the more you keep in the negative, that's what's gonna get thrown back... NEGATIVE!

Going back to the bridge thing, maybe they are themeing San Marco, Divinci's garden, AND Festa to pirates. Then they leave little ol' Pompeii to be [more] all by its lonesome. I do think that the themeing is good for one day after Illuminights, so I hope this shows a little promise in HOS this year.

It was stated earlier that the park is looking into other methods, which have yet to be heard. All we have heard has been posted on the HOS post at BGWFans.com

You're pushing it there. BGW did pirates from almost the very beginning of HOS. It was one of the all time better houses also. I've been wanting them to bring a pirate theme back for a while now... I made this to help you out in case you still don't know what i'm talking about.

Yea I know about Sea Dog Cemetery but from the decor on the bridge it is very reminding of the Caribbean style. I'm just saying it might be, not that it is. We shall wait until Friday the 13th!
