Because it always becomes a battle on here. If and when it happens, we'll know and discuss it then. I just don't see any point in debating the reasons why it will or will not happen over and over and over and over again like it has the past two or three HoS seasons. Noone ever bring any new ideas to the table on the subject, its just the same old crap.

Latest news coming in, Fear Fair will not be returning for 2013. Turns out the park has sold away costumes and props. Also, Root of All Evil may not return either, those billboards in Holiday Hills were constructed from Root of All Evil wood frames.

Interesting, I was expecting Fear Fair to stay. Maybe the GP doesn't like clowns?

Doesn't like? Or is scared of them? The whole point of Howl-O-Scream. If this is accurate it is sad news indeed. And if it is for those reasons, to me, this doesn't bode well for trying to be more teen & up-oriented.
Ahh!! I don't like clowns! They freak me out! Put something else in the scary Halloween event. :cool:

Don't know what's up with Root but I've heard the same about Fear Fair. It sounds like the house was more or less falling apart on them. Thanks for the second layer of confirmation Party Rocker!

Since Fear Fair and the clowns may not be returning, they need to make Festa a Retro Halloween. Who said the town of Holiday Hills only has to celebrate one Holiday?

I would love for them to leave the clowns but adapt BGT's Circus of Superstition. What a great house.

Well, I can't shed a tear for root... Fear Fair leaving is sad though.


Honestly though I'm optimistic. These have the potential to mean GREAT things for the event. Two of the main guest complaints were those houses just werent scary, especially the very first original incarnation of Fear Fair. We all appreciate the detail in these mazes, but if the GP don't think it's scary enough they have to go.

And the amount of guest I heard calling Root "Home Depot Gardening Section". I would've been extremely surprised had they bought it back.

So far it appears we are getting atleast two new mazes and a revamped Bitten... Doesn't sound like a bad event in the making to me yet.

Root doesn't surprise me much since that maze had dismal reviews during the season. Fear Fair was one of the weaker mazes out there as well. Hopefully getting rid of those mazes frees up room for potentially better mazes.

I'm really hoping the clowns stay inside the park though. The clowns/chainsaw guys were the best.

So if ROAE is truly gone, does that mean that the Lady of the Gardens will still be utilized or has her time passed as well?
Also, with no green houses in the back-lot, assuming they replace it with another maze, where would it go? Same location? What would it be?

Fear Fair seemed to always have stacking issues. It was a great house, but the stacking would kill it at times.

As Alpenscoot said a few post up, of making festa a retro area for HOS also. The park proved it's very possible to convert that entire area's theme over. I'd love to see them do more of that and HOS would be a great opportunity.

As with the 5-6 house argument, having more houses helps keep people off the paths which is much needed during HOS.

They better have some sort of clowns returning, that's my favorite part of HOS.

Howbout as many mazes as kings dominion? That would deffinately keep the paths less crowded

6 houses and 3 scare zones would be good for me. I'm surprised that Fear Fair isn't returning. I thought they did a great job with it this year. Oh well. I hope they do bring the clowns back in some sort of capacity. Howl-O-Scream wouldn't be the same with out creepy clowns.. haha.

Maybe they're making room for the new alone style house? That would be a neat add to the park XD
