RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

The first screen is where they separate the groups. You either go left or right.

Recently they've mostly just used the left bay. My only complaint is how they now make you stand outside of the first pre-show room until they get enough guests to fill a whole cabin of 50 seats. That means you have to stand there for a long time, because for the most part, only people who have never been to a theme park ride the ride. Maybe the G.P. is finally wising up.:p

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

To be honest I don't really want there to be another haunted house in EITA. Theres alot of backups in there and it just takes out all the awesomeness from it. Actually, all of the houses do this, people just being slow and stopping and such. For real please just walk through it, it'll be alright just go. This is a problem, that I know can't be helped by the park that its just the people. So yeah pointless rant on my part but yeah.

I'm actually not convinced of this. I only experienced stacking in one of King's Dominion's (many) houses and it cleared up within minutes. I don't know what KD is doing differently, but it's working.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

Well it does help to have *many* houses. Things would also work out if people just waited in line instead of wanting to get inside asap. I think if you waited longer for people to go through, stacking could be lessened. The problem though would be people complaining of wait times.
All they really can do is limit the amount of people they allow in at a time, as well as getting scare actors to scare guests through quicker. So the park could do something but they are limited on their options of what to do. I am sure they try to get guests scared thru quicker but what else could they do?

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

I think the problem at EITA is mostly the fear of heights room (which I thought was an amazing effect.) If they keep this in it might help to have it first. Of course this only transfers the line to outdoors instead of in. I was stuck in the 'closet' of the fear of sleep room so many times and I only went on Fridays and Sundays and did it as soon as it opened. I can't imagine how bad this must have been on Saturdays. Could they not also do a house behind where the vampire house is where they used to do the haunted fairy tale house or is that used for something else now? And how about in that area beside Caribou Station? That is a lot of space...and run the line through the log flume..although that might interfere with the train access if it over-flowed. ~Dreaming of having the train scares back again which relieved a tlot of people from other lines but required a ton of resources.~

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

They used to have Hunted back there, but due to Verbolten's construction area, that house was closed and turned into a warehouse to store Howl-o-Scream props and equipment. I have checked out the area next to Caribou station, it wouldn't be an ideal location for a haunted house exactly mainly for the terrain it offers, plus from recent-ish rumors the park is look into turning that area into a habitat for live caribou.

Anyone think the event could be a separate ticketed event this year?

Three Words: Pass Holder Complaints

Honestly, I don't see it happening until the park gives more perks to their pass holders or adds Christmas Town.

I believe it's coming. The question is win. It logistical since HOS is always sold out.
